So there is a bill in the California State Government to save net neutrality in CA. What % of Californians do you think forgot net neutrality was even a thing? My guess is about 95% of them.
Net neutrality is one of those weird things that makes sense on both sides, it only depends on who you listen to
If you listen to the liberal side it makes sense you do not want the companies to fuck you over a dry barrel by charging money for different websites and such and such
but if you listen to the conservative side, yeah... if someone streams 3gb of videos **A DAY** yeah... they should be charged more
The problem I have is that with net neutrality the only people AFAIK are the companies, though i am very uninformed
But without net neutrality we are putting faith in said companies, who pretty much have a monopoly, that they will not be asinine fuck wits and screw us all
The other problem with net neutrality is that a bunch of big tech companies were pushing it as an anti censorship thing. The problem was that those tech companies were the biggest censors on the internet.
That i do know, but big companies being massive hypocrits is nothing new
