I think the IDW has the best shot as an alternative. They got people with connections like Peter Thiel. I do think people should temper their expectations on complete free speech though. I expect they will have restrictions on speech, but they will be transparent about what those are.

i don't think it's feasible to do a 100% absolutist free speech platform today. As soon as anything negative happens with a user of the service, itll be tarred like Gab was.

I think if nothing else, people should just make the PayPal links like Jeremy Hambly did. I think PayPal itself is less likely to decide that they don't want your money, and if they do, we will at least be outraged at the source itself.
