@Salacious Swanky Cat Tidal is the most reliable, and again, it's in its infancy and it seems very promising.
10 years ago I've seen a panel of 30% efficiency, AFAIK they are not commercial viable due to high costs (which limits their usage for very specific tasks), they've actually reached 40%.
Renewable energy right know has a problem of high costs anyhow, we won't come anything near to 80% in the next decade due to costs and the lack reliability.
I would love to see the source for the 80% figure, it sounds way too high for me.
I would also like to know what AIPAC did.
Literally nothing
It's a B tier lobby organization that gives money to people who are outspokenly pro Israel
Hi, I'm an Israeli, I can't say I don't like what they are doing.
Especially when you consider where the youth and the Federal administrators are being educated.
@Dostayer the 80% number comes from the us lab nrel.
@Salacious Swanky Cat source?
The clusterfuck I mentioned has more to do with Omar saying negative things about AIPAC and then getting lambasted for it. Or rather, claiming that Israel has too much influence on American politics via organisations like AIPAC
AIPAC didn't specifically do anything in this case outside of *existing*
Oh, I see
Well, evanglicans are way more influential than AIPAC
Although Jews do have a strong hold in the Democratic party
But they have completely different views on things than Israelis, actually, they are progressive Americans more than anything else.
Oh, she's a BDSer
Well, I think it's clear why there is a dislike to her among some circles.
@Dostayer notice how the report page never mentions 100% renewables.
It can't be 100%, it's not reliable enough.
Thanks for the source though.
On a complete different subject: I guess you're aware of young people tendencies to define themselves mostly by their "origin country" rather than their current one?
Yeah. I think that energy use will be mostly renewable in the near future, but it isn't going to get to 100%. The activists want it to get to 100% for purely ideological reasons.
Um. Maybe? I live in America, so most people define themselves by race/ethnicity rather than nationality first, unless they are immigrants
Ethnicity
Well
Yeah
Sometimes though. Not everyone even knows their ethnicity
Something that you might be unaware of: there are Jews from all around the world, one of the largest groups were the ones from the Arab world. They were expelled during the 50's or "voluntarily" left.
Just race
Now
Here we go
For the most part
Yes. Lots of Jews. Ok.
Nothing wrong with that
Because there's a lie which circulates for a very long time in leftist circles
That Jews from the Arab world are Arabs
Oh.
I think I’ve heard that. Some people say that ethnic Jews aren’t a thing
I don’t believe that though
It's started in the US and creeped in to here
That idea?
