It's a B tier lobby organization that gives money to people who are outspokenly pro Israel

2019-02-12 12:03:12 UTC

Hi, I'm an Israeli, I can't say I don't like what they are doing.

2019-02-12 12:04:09 UTC

Especially when you consider where the youth and the Federal administrators are being educated.

2019-02-12 12:05:27 UTC

@Dostayer the 80% number comes from the us lab nrel.

The clusterfuck I mentioned has more to do with Omar saying negative things about AIPAC and then getting lambasted for it. Or rather, claiming that Israel has too much influence on American politics via organisations like AIPAC

2019-02-12 12:09:22 UTC

AIPAC didn't specifically do anything in this case outside of *existing*

2019-02-12 12:11:31 UTC

Oh, I see

2019-02-12 12:12:11 UTC

Well, evanglicans are way more influential than AIPAC

2019-02-12 12:13:46 UTC

Although Jews do have a strong hold in the Democratic party

2019-02-12 12:14:50 UTC

But they have completely different views on things than Israelis, actually, they are progressive Americans more than anything else.

2019-02-12 12:16:59 UTC

Oh, she's a BDSer

2019-02-12 12:17:48 UTC

Well, I think it's clear why there is a dislike to her among some circles.

2019-02-12 12:29:07 UTC

@Dostayer notice how the report page never mentions 100% renewables.

2019-02-12 12:31:02 UTC

It can't be 100%, it's not reliable enough.

2019-02-12 12:31:15 UTC

Thanks for the source though.

2019-02-12 12:32:45 UTC

On a complete different subject: I guess you're aware of young people tendencies to define themselves mostly by their "origin country" rather than their current one?

2019-02-12 12:33:59 UTC

Yeah. I think that energy use will be mostly renewable in the near future, but it isn't going to get to 100%. The activists want it to get to 100% for purely ideological reasons.

2019-02-12 12:35:19 UTC

Um. Maybe? I live in America, so most people define themselves by race/ethnicity rather than nationality first, unless they are immigrants

2019-02-12 12:36:34 UTC

Ethnicity

2019-02-12 12:36:36 UTC

Well

2019-02-12 12:40:00 UTC

Yeah

2019-02-12 12:40:24 UTC

Sometimes though. Not everyone even knows their ethnicity

2019-02-12 12:40:28 UTC

Something that you might be unaware of: there are Jews from all around the world, one of the largest groups were the ones from the Arab world. They were expelled during the 50's or "voluntarily" left.

2019-02-12 12:40:29 UTC

Just race

2019-02-12 12:40:35 UTC

Now

2019-02-12 12:40:39 UTC

Here we go

2019-02-12 12:40:46 UTC

For the most part

2019-02-12 12:41:16 UTC

Yes. Lots of Jews. Ok.

2019-02-12 12:41:23 UTC

Nothing wrong with that

2019-02-12 12:41:23 UTC

Because there's a lie which circulates for a very long time in leftist circles

2019-02-12 12:41:41 UTC

That Jews from the Arab world are Arabs

2019-02-12 12:41:49 UTC

Oh.

2019-02-12 12:42:13 UTC

I think I’ve heard that. Some people say that ethnic Jews aren’t a thing

2019-02-12 12:42:22 UTC

I don’t believe that though

2019-02-12 12:42:22 UTC

It's started in the US and creeped in to here

2019-02-12 12:42:35 UTC

That idea?

2019-02-12 12:42:41 UTC

Yes

2019-02-12 12:43:08 UTC

I think some self hating Jews made the idea popular

2019-02-12 12:43:10 UTC

Propegated by some hard left Jews from the relevant group
