No lol
People don't like to give up legitimate rights
Nor should they
I have been toying with the idea of household votes for a while now. Only allowing people with an investment in the future (via marriage and a family or military service) a vote.
it will never happen though, even with a revolution it probably wont happen
Especially if the wrong sorts of people get to decide who can or can't vote. Too risky
Right. I'm warming up to ideas along that line as well, but it also sounds completely infeasible
Remember, most revolutions go south after the overthrow when radicals take over, see France, Russia, Iran, etc
I have been thinking of writing a paper/book on the structure of government for a few days, really caused by the voting rights thought previously mentioned
I have a sort of similar idea about military/other civil service giving the right to vote, mostly stolen from starship troopers. It could never happen in America or really any existing state though
Hell, the idea we need to show proof of citizenship to vote is controversial. There's no way you could reform voting like that.
I think the whole ‘service guarantees citizenship’ concept is overrated. It wouldn’t do a thing to prevent the insanity we see now.
I just finished the podcast at work
I completely disagree with the tranny they showed. Hell, we were making fun of her on my tranny server. Trans woman are male and trans men are female
🤷
But, hormones do change risk factors for diseases. Trans woman have similar breast cancer rates as cis women and need to have mammograms. Trans men have similar heart disease rates as cis men
Yeah, trans woman are biologically male, but changing your endocrine system is going to affect more than not
React to this if you love your mom/dad/guardian/Matt/blond
What? Any one???
Hi
New to the discord here. I need to watch the Sunday show. I saw part of it yesterday.
@mecookie100 it's a good one, I finished it at work
lol @Shadows weren't you and i discussing voting rights just a few days/weeks ago?
welcome @mecookie100
@Chump_or_Champ Yep, its fun to throw around ideas of what might be useful, or what could possibly work. But if we ever created a tier voting system. It would just make our system unstable, when the people who have no voice in their governance become discontent.
chaos or revolt could ensue
You should always try to think of what people Will do in the systems you are creating/created, not just what you Want them to do or think is best. We have enough people as it is with discontentment over our government (even when its running fairly well). Now just think about how that would work if they didn't even have a option at all to change anything or have a say in the matter...
MILO vs JBP

😮
That wasn't really anything, but it was nice for Peterson give and apology to Milo for not defending him properly for people calling him a racist.
Awww, that was so sweet of him
Guys: I need some input/feedback/pushback here.
Tell me if you think I’ve gone nuts https://www.quora.com/Venezuela-has-one-of-World-largest-oil-reserves-If-America-invade-Venezuela-and-install-a-friendly-government-will-Venezuela-be-able-to-pay-for-this-military-action/answer/Nic-Harvard?ch=3&share=6b4ad379&srid=3MQ1O
The US ain't invading shit
@Nic Harvard you're nuts for spending that much time answering that question 😅
It was an interesting thought experiment which I had to take to logical conclusions
But guyz, OIL
I've heard this shit for decades
Is it just my internet, or did Youtube take down the recording of Crowders Oscars live stream minutes after they uploaded it this morning?
I heard they got cut mid-stream as well, so that wouldn't surprise me
Yeah, the content is obviously transformative. I'll be anxiously waiting to see how their lawsuit Crowder announced develops.
