I just hope the US military doesn't get involved with Venezuela. Besides all the things that would normally involve, it would give people the chance to blame America for its failure
Though they also already do that.
exactly
they should just let it fail
they did it to themselves
Ehhhhhhhh
I don't agree with that but I rather not get into it
I like coming here to see *all* hope isn't lost for America. Looking at my newsfeed I've seen enough of the "Orange man bad, we have to really behind whoever gets the nomination" to fear this might be the time they actually do put aside their own values to vote for whoever the DNC chooses
@Shadoukitsune I feel the same way ❤
*clings to you* save me O.O lol
Lol. Boys will be boys
unless they are at a BBQ being watched by an endless line of men BBQing, then it must be stopped at all costs
Running BBQ train
Sadly it's a lot of females on my timeline who arw very politically outspoken then pull the race card to shut down further debate
RepealThe19th
I'll gladly give it up if it stops the masses
I liked the "only land owners get a vote" idea, seems easier to weed out the schleps
Without having a complete collapse or revolution or something, is pitching the idea of limiting voting rights ever going to be a tenable position?
No lol
People don't like to give up legitimate rights
I have been toying with the idea of household votes for a while now. Only allowing people with an investment in the future (via marriage and a family or military service) a vote.
it will never happen though, even with a revolution it probably wont happen
Especially if the wrong sorts of people get to decide who can or can't vote. Too risky
Right. I'm warming up to ideas along that line as well, but it also sounds completely infeasible
Remember, most revolutions go south after the overthrow when radicals take over, see France, Russia, Iran, etc
I have been thinking of writing a paper/book on the structure of government for a few days, really caused by the voting rights thought previously mentioned
I have a sort of similar idea about military/other civil service giving the right to vote, mostly stolen from starship troopers. It could never happen in America or really any existing state though
Hell, the idea we need to show proof of citizenship to vote is controversial. There's no way you could reform voting like that.
I think the whole ‘service guarantees citizenship’ concept is overrated. It wouldn’t do a thing to prevent the insanity we see now.
I just finished the podcast at work
I completely disagree with the tranny they showed. Hell, we were making fun of her on my tranny server. Trans woman are male and trans men are female
🤷
But, hormones do change risk factors for diseases. Trans woman have similar breast cancer rates as cis women and need to have mammograms. Trans men have similar heart disease rates as cis men
Yeah, trans woman are biologically male, but changing your endocrine system is going to affect more than not
React to this if you love your mom/dad/guardian/Matt/blond
What? Any one???
Hi
