It's designed as an invective to label a person as extreme and dangerous.

Someone whose ideas you don't have to entertain or engage with that gets shoved off the internet for everyone's benefit.

Or stop with the labels and instead focus on ideas, a racist can have good ideas on criminal justice reform, a communist can have good ideas on immigration. These labels only serve to banish people from the conversation, debate the point not the person

Sadly predictable. Worse, it undermines every REAL hate crime, and leads to suspicion of hate crimes without justification (like the chapel that burned to the ground due to an electrical short that everyone "knew" was a hate crime until the chaplain himself got on camera and said, "NO, it was an electrical fire" and begged people to stop saying it was a hate crime). 😔
