it was never really 1 channel though it was like 4 or 5 spread over the link channels and off hours
2 channels with video and image posting enabled would be so much easier than what we have

Its fine to have 2 of those, you don't want videos people post getting lost so fast.

Yes.

Even more so if you have different topics people bring up in each.

for instance say I have a video to back up what I'm discussing here I'd have to go post in the video channel which then splits the discussion and potentially interupts a discussion already happening over there

the other option is blocking text from the video/image channels

You can always link a video in here.... Or post it there and point people over to it, not sure what's hard about that.

i just said what's hard about that, it splits conversation unnecessarily and interrupts what ever is happening over there

rather than containing the related video to the related conversation

and also redirecting the person there, that's another unnecessary' step to take

yes because the conversation is now in 2 places instead of 1

What notifications do you need if you are having a conversion..

if we're discussing here and I post a video in the video channel you don't know I've done that without me telling you or you stumbling across that
