“When you vote, you are exercising political authority, you're using force. And force, my friends, is violence. The supreme authority from which all other authorities are derived.”
Idk, ive totally fucking flipped on economics in the last 2 months
I think we just need a system where citizens have a stake in the society
our forefathers held a similar view on voting
that those who have a stake in society should be the ones who determine its future
Heinlein does so in a similar way.
something given, has no value
been reading Barren Metal: _A History of Capitalism as the Conflict between Labor and Usury_ by E Michael Jones
never thought id be turning to the Catholic Church for political philosophy lol but they really gotta be saying "Yeah, fucking told you so" rn
seems to be a common trend
want a copy of the book starship troopers btw?
"Socialism is the justifiable disease that arises in response to usurious and predatory practices in a capitalistic system"
That, i think, is the take that makes the most sense to me. Not that i know shit about economics
Hahahah theres no way i can get through fiction
I cant actually read really
im an audiobook guy
lol why not?
Im horrible at it
ah, well pick up the audio book then
its a book thats been out for almost 70 years
I have like a 15 word long buffer in my brain and at a certain point i realize that ive been thinking about something totally unrelated and ive just been reading the individual words but they have no relationship or constructed meaning

oh fuckin no way, nick fuentes is an O&A fan?!
opie and anthony?
yessir
never really listened to them
I spent like 15 months making a complete archive of 20 years + of every show theyve ever done, catalogued them with guest info
oh damn, thats dedication
Ron and Fez, Cumtown, SNV, Than and Sam Show, Black Phillip Show
I love content archivist projects, love radio and comedy podcasts and that shit
So I've never seen/heard/been a part of a Wednesday show, what's it like? What are the highlights from last night?
Legalize calls in every week to talk about fountain pens, Dell the Redneck gave an update on his wife Maud (she's just like the squad because she takes up 4 seats and causes a ruckus in the House), someone called in to talk about having dinner with Andrew Yang, Kevin Flannigan sends a lot of superchats, someone talked about weaponized polka from the Winter War... The call-in show is definitely all over the place.
And I'm only half-way through last night's show
I enjoy the call in show but it’s very different from the Sunday show
Ain't that the truth
Blonde gave some sage advice on doing a livestream: just start a podcast with no experience and after 3 and a half years you can have a show where every other call is a disaster
