New to the server, im a software developer and ive been working on what i believe to be a serious, feasable solution to the problem of censorship, algorithmic demotion, content curation, search blacklisting, and suffocation of alternative media on behalf of the MSM "Authoritative Sources" and "Priority Creator" accounts.

I think alt tech developers are going about this all wrong., You cannot build another YouTube, because nobody can afford to willingfully lose $80 Billion in a quarter to maintain control over human attention like Google can.

The solution, I think, is post-hoc DOM tree manipulation served and administered by a browser extension, and provided with results from a server-side indexing and scanning service that allows the user to search for videos based on an algorithm that I want OPEN SOURCED and transparent. Content neutral.

Also, the extension would have the ability to enter a "creator mode"

and in creator mode, you can set up "upload templates" and hook up your DLive, Vimeo, Bitchute, Dailymotion, etc etc accounts. And when you upload any video on youtube, you can choose to automatically upload and deploy on all of your ccounts

Gab and Dissenter are still active platforms

you can side-load the extension

also Dissenter has their own browser fork

But the association and multi target upload would do this... it would create an association of mirrors of your videos, so I would be able to know if and when any of these links are targeted or taken down, and i could dispatch a notification to the owner saying "Youtube took down this video, but all users that go to this link will still be able to view the video using the Bitchute mirror"

and we post hoc INJECT via the dom tree the bitchute player right into the youtube ui.

Also, this has infinite possibilites of insane levels of expansion

like injecting the video links DIRECTLY into the youtube ecosystem

so for example, Matt Christensen's > Videos tab would have an injected bar at the top

and that would be "heres all the videos that youtube attempted to censor"

Another idea: Injection of REPLACEMENT SUPERCHATS service. essentially anyone who has the extension installed will be using an alt service that is NOT censored and NOT naughty word scanned

and we only take 15% fee instead of Google's 30%

Oh yeah, we could add a "batch upload all previous content with this deployment template"

basically itd work by using a youtube downloader service, and then just use the upload API and upload the video using the same Title, Subtitle, Tags, whatever

But developing a provably politically neutral algorithm is not easy and it actually could cause MORE damage if i accidentally create a right-wing content bubble

So i have lists of mined content creators from the left wing, I dont have that many, maybe 50 or so

But we could also have a super simple website, where you could go and just drop your channel URL or youtube username into the submission form, and "sign yourself up as an alternative content creator"

So ANY creator, left, right, center, CIA operative, anybody, could register their content as alt media content in the server side content indexer and serve as the suggestions / "up next" video provider

Another angle i took for a while is automating the recovery of deleted youtube videos. I have a 7-stage algorithm that tries basically different approaches to mine / web scrape / web api automate discovery of hidden, mirrored, backed up, or archive.org wayback machine'd copies of videos

It only has about a 55% success rate depending on the time and date it was uploaded

if its super old, I can recover the raw SWF stream, they arent even deleted. If theyre from like 2005-2009, I can Ajax exploit them and download a copy of the video. If theyre backed up to archive.org, I can scan there and download. Also i have a couple services i found that were originally mirroring content in order to circumvent country-specific restrictions on youtube streams, but can be leveraged for anticensorship purposes. Also theres a service called MirrorTube but that has a super low success rate

i know a guy who works with the NFL hosting provider service for streaming

By the way, anyone who has wondered "Why aren't there any developers who are fighting back against the censorship and the manipulation?", this is why. I am a moderator at a large, highly trafficked development and coding collaboration / help / etc. server, something like 5,000+ members. This was in a mods-only room, so nobody can claim 'oversensitivity safe space'. I've been an active, helpful member for 3+ years and a moderator for like 1.5 years, and was thrown off the server, demoted, re-added to the server after other users complained, then re-promoted, every time I bring up evidence that this is happening, someone fucking comes after me and shuts me down and deletes all the evidence of it. This has happened probably 10-15 times, over the issue of censorship

This was the Veritas Google leaks showing that they are actively and explicitly trying to throw a US Election. Google is a multinational worldwide company. So if they're doing it in the US, they're perfectly capable of doing it in any other country that allows Google. So yeah, that's fucking outside the realm of "mere political bantz on the server", thats a tech company overthrowing and tampering with governments and the fact that TECH PEOPLE AND PROGRAMMERS are not allowed to even notice that its happening and be concerned about it, that is really scary and disappointing
