In light of the many senseless tragedies in public places across the country, I believe it is appropriate to work together to take action to reduce gun violence. We can reduce gun violence and still respect the Second Amendment.

For example, Americans overwhelmingly support common-sense gun safety legislation, such as expanding background checks. This sentiment is shared by a majority of gun owners and NRA members as well.
