But I'm sure there are people supporting the far left types who don't quite understand what exactly they're doing, too
@Black Cat or deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia to plant palm trees for their palm oil bullshit
Yes exactly
I fuckin' hate vegans
Even if they weren't so self-righteous, they're just so clueless
Which is leading to several species basically going extinct in those forests. Like the sun bear and indonesian orangutangs
Thank you, I'm going to look into that
Highly ironic that someone whose diet is primarily meat knows this shit and they just put a blind eye to it
Well who needs facts when you can get social points with people that will turn on you in an instant anyway ๐
Mhm
"BUT THE PALM OIL IS ORGANIC AND SUSTAINABLE"
Yeah... no thats a fucking lie
you'd need a whole other planet to make it sustainable
Yup
As long as we're at it Beyond Meat is also ridiculously bad for you
At least veganism will eventually select out
Reminds me of how Ireland is getting boned by green initiatives planting non native Sitka Spruce
Yeah good luck with that
Planting non native tree species worked so fucking great for California
*plot twist, it didnt*
@Black Cat yeah its gonna get hard for all the soyboys to reproduce eventually with all that estrogen
But the eucalyptus!
BUT THE EUCALYPTUS SMELLS SO GOOD AND WE CAN MAKE ESSENTIAL OILS OUT OF THEM
Not when you're burned to a crisp you're not
That was Straya's greatest, longest term troll
Time to build a wall
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/oct/10/trees-ireland-biodiversity-sitka-birds-extinction it's fucking their wildlife too
And how perfect that it bloomed on lefty California
Around California
@Beemann *imagine my shock*
It's almost as if our constant attempts at ecological intervention lead to awful side effects
>invasive species are bad. lol
They're making money and being green though. What could go wrong?

To be honest, you should probably take that guardian article with a grain of salt. Often times lefty environmentalists get the ecological science incorrect, so you have to do extra vetting on their claims.
Irish papers are reporting on it too. Apparently in the UK and Scandinavia it's been classified similarly and they've been yeeting it
Iโd have to look into it more. It is a general rule of thumb that invasive species arenโt a good thing though.
Think kudzu in the southeast
They're apparently growing it as a cash crop and it's at the cost of native species
