This language is so good
If the whole world read Wittgenstein maybe we'd have a better language based on referenced, empirical values for everything
@shadowedROM it doesn't heat up past room temperature anymore
/doesnt heat up, but thermistor is working
Note: ABS filament will emit a bit toxic gases when it melts .
thnx
The thermistor works the other way around so if it is failing your extruded would be too hot
It was hot at one point so I'd check wiring again; mine came with the cloth wrap not stripped or precut at all
It's easy to assume that he screw down terminal would terminate the connection but it didn't for me
I want to replacemy old ipod classic since its starting to skip. Anyone got any decent suggestions? Im not big on itunes or playing music on phones.
So I stripped mine and it worked fine
wiring seems to be alright
Like to rockbox or mod the existing iPod? Or replace the whole unit with something else
@fbn and you double-checked slic3r to make sure your settings are correct etc?
i use cura
Pretty odd; it's at room temp now?
yep
hotbed at 45/45
Got a voltmeter / -ammeter to test?
sadly not
Barring that, one would assume the extruder died, but a multimeter is both cheap and arguably an essential piece of kit
I'm not so sure extruders can fail in this way
apparentlly heat cartridges can overheat
but what did you print so far :x
nothing, but it heated up once
Yea I saw from above
But it's at like 16-18'C now right
25
If I were you neighbor I'd run over there now to test your output leads from the board :/
Did you strip the ends
yes
The sucky thing would be a dead board
Just checked, the wires seemed to be rip so I stripped them again and made sure it connects
If it's a dead extruder head then it's just an excuse to upgrade early
didnt work though
I've heard gearbest may ship replacement parts if you bought it from them
Did you try manual temp setting
yeah
"Heat PLA" etc ok
heat pla doesnt do anything
