It'll look better if you just printed that

2017-02-03 15:05:11 UTC

Or get Dafen to handpaint it for you

2017-02-03 15:13:42 UTC

ffs i cant get it to work 😦

2017-02-03 16:20:49 UTC

@fbn slic3r settings? Could be the change from initial temp to print temp

2017-02-03 16:21:40 UTC

@transience I believe "dick si" is a double transliteration for Cantonese word for "taxi"

2017-02-03 16:21:47 UTC

yup

2017-02-03 16:22:06 UTC

did they not use jyutping just so they can do this or what 🤔

2017-02-03 16:22:56 UTC

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2017-02-03 16:23:14 UTC

This language is so good

2017-02-03 16:25:42 UTC

If the whole world read Wittgenstein maybe we'd have a better language based on referenced, empirical values for everything

2017-02-03 16:30:49 UTC

@shadowedROM it doesn't heat up past room temperature anymore

2017-02-03 16:30:58 UTC

/doesnt heat up, but thermistor is working

2017-02-03 16:31:00 UTC

Note: ABS filament will emit a bit toxic gases when it melts .

2017-02-03 16:31:02 UTC

thnx

2017-02-03 16:32:21 UTC

The thermistor works the other way around so if it is failing your extruded would be too hot

2017-02-03 16:34:04 UTC

It was hot at one point so I'd check wiring again; mine came with the cloth wrap not stripped or precut at all

2017-02-03 16:34:26 UTC

It's easy to assume that he screw down terminal would terminate the connection but it didn't for me

2017-02-03 16:34:39 UTC

I want to replacemy old ipod classic since its starting to skip. Anyone got any decent suggestions? Im not big on itunes or playing music on phones.

2017-02-03 16:34:42 UTC

So I stripped mine and it worked fine

2017-02-03 16:35:04 UTC

wiring seems to be alright

2017-02-03 16:35:07 UTC

Like to rockbox or mod the existing iPod? Or replace the whole unit with something else

2017-02-03 16:36:08 UTC

@fbn and you double-checked slic3r to make sure your settings are correct etc?

2017-02-03 16:36:22 UTC

i use cura

2017-02-03 16:36:24 UTC

Pretty odd; it's at room temp now?

2017-02-03 16:36:29 UTC

yep

2017-02-03 16:36:32 UTC

hotbed at 45/45

2017-02-03 16:37:27 UTC

Got a voltmeter / -ammeter to test?

2017-02-03 16:37:33 UTC

sadly not

2017-02-03 16:38:12 UTC

Barring that, one would assume the extruder died, but a multimeter is both cheap and arguably an essential piece of kit

2017-02-03 16:38:35 UTC

I'm not so sure extruders can fail in this way

2017-02-03 16:38:56 UTC

apparentlly heat cartridges can overheat

2017-02-03 16:39:13 UTC

but what did you print so far :x

2017-02-03 16:39:22 UTC

nothing, but it heated up once

2017-02-03 16:39:55 UTC

Yea I saw from above

2017-02-03 16:40:10 UTC

But it's at like 16-18'C now right

2017-02-03 16:40:15 UTC

25

2017-02-03 16:40:49 UTC

If I were you neighbor I'd run over there now to test your output leads from the board :/

2017-02-03 16:41:04 UTC

Did you strip the ends

2017-02-03 16:41:07 UTC

yes
