Speaking of which, I have a 3-screen setup, they're kinda shit, full HD though but with thick bezels, would you recommend replacing them by an ultrawide and/or 4k screen ?
Personally I wouldn't use a single 4k as a replacement for multiple monitors. Even with a large screen.
@markolo25 you need to wait for the package to reach a sorting station.
oh ok
it's been 3 days since gb shipped it
I have a thing about playing games windowed though.
Between the shop and the sorting station there is a only a cycling chink
just getting worried since gf said malaysia postal sucks
lol ok
Get over there and tell him to peddle faster, Mao.
ive used a 4k screen. of course you can have 4x 1080p windows open at same time, but its all very small and not the same
he has to swim over the ocean too
Think you need to wait for it to reach Malaysia to start getting tracking info
oh ok
id go with two 1440p 144hz to replace, to be honest
i'm in the us
Exactly, kaetaa.
Yeah that's probably the best idea
You'd have to have a screen 2 times the size of your one 1080p to get the effect of 4 1080p screens.
I don't play games a lot so maybe 144Hz is overkill
High refresh even for general usage is amazing.
The first time you move your mouse and it doesn't ghost all over the place. Wew.
Media consumption is painful though without the likes of svp.
>explaining to normies why you have one monitor at vertical tilt
Haha.
I have to explain this to people that do have multiple monitors.
Yeah well I'll look around, probably considering 2x1440p at 120+ Hz thanks
Do they even make 120hz 1440p screens?
I thought they all went straight to 144.
id personaly stay in 3x 1080p
just get proper monitor stand/arm
i think tvs are 120 these days, not sure about monitors. probably
Thick bezels are ruining it though
Not all tvs, but yeah, there are quite a few that support true 120hz. Like the seiki 39" I use.
i watched i am legend on 120hz back in 2006. was fucking weird
In theory, any 4k display should support 1080p at a high refresh rate.
yeah when i had 4k i would switch back and forth depending on what i was doing
but to be honest, it was a pain in the ass. never again. 4k is a meme on monitors
My seiki actually looks like dogshit on 1080p unless it's set to 120hz. Really wanted the 4k, but I didn't realize it was restricted to 30hz.
4k is glorious for monitors.. sadly the hardware is what its keeping it back
