I wonder if you could make a faux version of one of the Neo Geo ones with the click pad
Sure.
That's the kind of stuff I wish you could just straight out buy - clone controllers with good components
If you're looking to make or mod a controller with mechanical switches, 100 grams of actuation force seems to be the sweet spot.
AND it's also difficult to find cheapo surface mounted components that fit that particular bill.
Friend of mine tells me I should start selling them.
I'd rather just sell the mod service tbh.
Much easier that way
Certainly for me.
Wouldn't need to stock anything but components. No worrying about sourcing good quality controllers, original or otherwise.
@transience What radio are you using to spy on folks?
shitty binatone pmr446 radio that you can buy from any department store
had one sitting in my drawer for years
Ah, I was hoping for something chinky to buy.
you can get radios that do it from China
but they aren't that cheap
I bought a baofeng uv-5r from amazon, same price as ali but ships from the UK
should be here tomorrow
you can sometimes find tecsuns cheaper and for what they do at how small they are it's pretty good value I'd say
👍
i got a Baofeng UVB2 probably 6months ago but i couldnt figure out how to listen in on peoples conversations after an hour or 2 i gave up
How much better would they work for listening in, compared to tbe uv-5r?
I don't own a Tecsun so I can't say, I know they're heavily memed in ham radio circles though
for being so portable yet powerful as a LW/SW scanner
this looks badass tbh
I have some super vintage German comm radio I found in the woods as a kiddo.
yeah those are cool, I had an old Realistic scanner but I sold it
not as many things to snoop around my area
Found the sucker. 👍
very aesthetic
I wonder if it can pick anything up.
Might save me $25.
I mean, it might be busted. I never even tried powering the thing up.
radio waves don't really change so I'd imagine so if it works
Well sure, if the thing actually still works.
this is the kind I had
