what do you mean by weird magic?
spotify has a shitty attempt at gain control built in
so maybe there's a software fix for this?
if it happens on multiple devices then it isnt a software issue
Poweramp has some additional layers between. I remember the initial reason for me to buy poweramp in 2009 was because my HTC Desire could not have an equalizer because of the sound chip, and yet poweramp offered one
It does some additional audio manipulation on application level. How I don't know, it's closed source
i just rooted my phone and got lineage os
And AFAIK, it's the only android player doing so
it has an equalizer built in
Just plugged them into Ruizu X02
Yes, every modern smartphone does
They don't freak out at full vol but they become very loud
what do you mean by freak out?
they become so loud they start to sputter
sputter?
you might have something stuck on the diaphragm
though if it happens in both sides id be skeptical
They cut in and out
probably your phone clipping and having a fit then
that's more likely
now that i think about it whats actually happening is the phone switches output from the speakers to the earpieces rapidly
it detects when something is plugged in and sends signal to the 3.5mm
all digital shit
that's it.
mhm
any other headphones have problems with that phone?
if yes
phone's fucked
I'd assume so since it's chinkshit
never had any problems with my redmi
I also wonder if it is killing my iems
doubt it
probably just chinky mfkg
maybe stuff got in your 3.5 mm jack hole
because ive had iems die in all phones
i did have an issue with a moto x and lint in the jack because of their shitty port design
your ear drums would break before your iems
at least from raw signal
xiaomi's stock white headphones
are SO GOOD
anyone know their name tho?
