2017-08-11 08:11:29 UTC

h

2017-08-11 08:12:06 UTC

I just ordered 5 x 8 m tape from ali for 13 $ for Brother label printer in different color combinations. Original from Brother would be roughly 90 $

2017-08-11 08:12:46 UTC

will report about quality once it arrives although I doubt anyone of you has enough autism to label every box in your kitchen / basement etc

2017-08-11 08:28:52 UTC

thats more than autism lad

2017-08-11 08:34:07 UTC

I order everything in my kitchen shelves by "best-before" date and I put a label with the name of the content and the best before in front. If something has the same date, I order by name in second priority

2017-08-11 08:38:21 UTC

Why though?

2017-08-11 08:39:18 UTC

organization and order

2017-08-11 08:40:39 UTC

when I buy stuff I usually bring generic boxes to the grocery store so I can throw the packaging away right there

2017-08-11 08:40:51 UTC

for maximum kitchen organization

2017-08-11 08:41:13 UTC

also I tend to cook my meals for work for the whole week on Sunday, then I label what's inside the lunchboxes

2017-08-11 08:41:16 UTC

etc etc

2017-08-11 08:41:37 UTC

Sure. But you do know the so called "expiration dates" are a scam, right?

2017-08-11 08:42:17 UTC

Hell, 90% of the time it's just "best before" anyway, saying the manufacturer feels comfortable guaranteeing a consistent product experience up until a certain point.

2017-08-11 08:43:23 UTC

yes but you can take it as a general indicator on how long the product will definitely still good so you can aim to consume your food within guaranteed freshness

2017-08-11 08:43:39 UTC

I have flour which expired in 2014 and I still use it

2017-08-11 08:43:44 UTC

👍

2017-08-11 08:44:30 UTC

I have several siblings who think food products turn into cyanide the moment the clock hits midnight.

2017-08-11 08:44:37 UTC

Pisses me off.

2017-08-11 08:45:19 UTC

I do behave the same on some products, for example, fresh chicken. Doesn't mean I throw away anything, I strictly consume it as soon as possible

2017-08-11 08:45:34 UTC

which is sane, especially on things like chicken

2017-08-11 08:46:00 UTC

Sight, smell, taste. Use 'em. That's what I tell my retarded siblings anyway.

2017-08-11 08:46:09 UTC

Is the chicken green? Probably don't eat it.
