Would heat shrink tubing help them last longer? For some reason mine always revert to slow charging after a couple months use.
really? do they revert to normal charging after a couple of months? that's weird
in a way i guess but i also think the braid keeps them rigid so there is that. Also the aluminum tip should dissipate heat so there is that
can you send a link where you bought them from?
yes
Ugreen Micro USB Cable Android Nylon Braided Charger USB to Micro USB Fast Charging Cable for Samsung Xiaomi HTC Tablet USB Cord

(from AliExpress Android)
btw this is the shitty OEM cable it is replacing so
i have to mention the braid might get a little loose at the tip connecting to the device (hence why i mentioned it might be a meme). already happened with the apple ugreen cable but other than that i am not overly concerned about structural failure at the tips, since they are from aluminium (will have to go thorough quite some cyles before failure as compared to plastic, and it also acts as a heatsink.) Also the braid does provide ridigity to the cable so its harder to damage by bending
The apple cable i have used it for 2 months so there is that under heavy duty conditions*
the cable reverting to slow charging after some time sounds really weird though
i agree
like fast charging should work with any cable unless your cable gauge to lenght is not adequate
is anyone running the mibook air with GNU + Linux?
fug
fixed
so I wonder how these are
also I wonder if my 30 cent ugreen cable velcro tape will ever arrive
<:iosthink:328535776843268105> apple like jewing ppl with cables doe, i bought the ugreen because it is "apple certified". Fucking apple and thier jewing practices
it would be nice if we could get feedback when that cable arrives @Julian <:umaru:232470184445607937>

I can find only separate adapter for these precise ports
