And a free gym, and 2 months worth of leave every year

2018-01-29 20:22:58 UTC

funny enough starbucks drip coffee would be better than your your supermarket stuff

2018-01-29 20:23:14 UTC

I would buy sips from china

2018-01-29 20:23:51 UTC

Espresso is impossible to fuck up; if you get an espressonated-anything from Starby's you're still getting, you know, actual coffee

2018-01-29 20:24:04 UTC

Surprise

2018-01-29 20:25:37 UTC

@bole#0945 but nobody buys that (here), anyway. Everyone goes to starbucks for the vanilla soy decaf grape vegan latte

Hey

2018-01-29 20:27:22 UTC

we all have dumb bullshit we spend our money on

2018-01-29 20:27:27 UTC

I'm new to this whole sketchy Chinese products thing

2018-01-29 20:28:10 UTC

Should I buy a Goophone?

2018-01-29 20:38:31 UTC

@fedora too heavy to be worth it, sadly enough

2018-01-29 20:41:00 UTC

@Ganpo Dadi (贛鄱大地) Xiaomi phones are generally a safer purchase

2018-01-29 20:41:50 UTC

Xaomi is more reputable, I'd agree

2018-01-29 20:42:04 UTC

But their phones have only a passing resemblance to an iPhone

2018-01-29 20:42:15 UTC

They're not flagrant clones

2018-01-29 20:42:16 UTC

I'd avoid MIUI like the plague after a read through the EULA agreement

2018-01-29 20:42:21 UTC

'ree'

2018-01-29 20:42:42 UTC

rt I'm almost certainly going to buy a V20 on eBay for $260

2018-01-29 20:42:51 UTC

The Mi A1 in red looks nice enough for most people I'd say, and doesn't have shitty Mediatek processor

2018-01-29 20:43:21 UTC

>removable battery
>IR universal remote
>Integrated DAC
>decent camera and microphone setup

2018-01-29 20:43:46 UTC

The only qualm I have with the V20 is LG's horrible software, but you can update that manually, yeh?

2018-01-29 20:44:49 UTC

No u cant

2018-01-29 20:45:01 UTC

Also b o o t l o o p s

2018-01-29 20:45:13 UTC

V20 is affected by them iirc

2018-01-29 20:46:02 UTC

oh ye

2018-01-29 20:46:05 UTC

I did hear about that

2018-01-29 20:46:14 UTC

I honestly don't know shit about rooting

2018-01-29 20:46:56 UTC

That's why most people are going to the A1, the stock Google is p appealing

2018-01-29 20:46:57 UTC

Oh nvm lg v20 has lineageos support

2018-01-29 20:47:06 UTC

Idk how good it is

2018-01-29 20:47:36 UTC

But still you need to deal with bootloops

2018-01-29 20:47:59 UTC

And they cant really push lineage os updates out unless lg gives needed source codes

2018-01-29 20:49:33 UTC

Yes

2018-01-29 20:49:44 UTC

It sounds like the build is not finished

2018-01-29 20:49:47 UTC

v30 any better in that regard?

2018-01-29 20:51:39 UTC

Dont think so

2018-01-29 20:52:10 UTC

Atleast it doesent bootloop i guess

2018-01-29 20:53:11 UTC

I guess I'll risk it

2018-01-29 20:58:04 UTC

@Ganpo Dadi (贛鄱大地) did you try Kimovil.com for best bang for buck for your budget?

2018-01-29 20:58:10 UTC

I have one of Xiaomi's Mi Mix 2. Only complaints I have are the difficulty in the rooting process (bootload unlock mostly) and the screen's lower bezel having a blackout applique to give the illusion of a curve on the screen's bottom corners. It's tough to describe verbally but basically the top corners of the screen physically have a curve built into the LCD, while the bottom corners are the usual square corners. There is a black coating on the back of the screen glass to give the illusion of curved corners in the bottom of the LCD. Really easy to notice as you rotate the phone towards and away from your eyes.
