so yeah if the UI is shit you can always get another drive

2018-05-16 22:45:05 UTC

Neat

2018-05-16 22:46:29 UTC

I should look into it for the MF01. It's really just the 2 second hold to lock, and hold to turn off instead of press, that I hate. Holding to lock is bad for a powerful light, and you should always be able to turn it off quick.

2018-05-16 22:46:54 UTC

hold to turn off lmao

2018-05-16 22:47:00 UTC

Yeah.

2018-05-16 22:48:17 UTC

It's like half a second, and let's be real here, it's always on turbo anyways, so tapping to cycle to moonlight isn't going to be visible after that blinding turbo.

2018-05-16 22:48:25 UTC

But it's still dumb

2018-05-16 22:50:37 UTC

oh

2018-05-16 22:50:39 UTC

2018-05-16 22:50:40 UTC

2018-05-16 23:09:20 UTC

Is there good fountain pen ink to be had on AliExpress?

2018-05-16 23:12:38 UTC

2018-05-16 23:12:42 UTC

2018-05-16 23:13:10 UTC

2018-05-16 23:13:23 UTC

2018-05-16 23:13:42 UTC

2018-05-16 23:27:23 UTC

bassically as you shift pen upwards the pen gets thinner

2018-05-16 23:27:28 UTC

so you can either use it super thick or fine

2018-05-16 23:27:37 UTC

its a intesresting nib design

2018-05-16 23:37:23 UTC

Anyone bought any like car radios and stuff from aliexpress, etc?

2018-05-16 23:44:59 UTC

I probably wouldn't feel comfortable with modern cars using a cheap Chinese deck, too much gets tied in to that nowadays, and decent ones aren't too spendy.

2018-05-16 23:45:47 UTC

Enough goes wrong with cars without messing up the electronics. But I'm also really not a car guy. Decent radio we put in my mom's car was only around $90

2018-05-17 00:14:46 UTC

Really shitty ones around here with just aux are about 250AUD its a rip off

2018-05-17 00:14:49 UTC

plus installation prices

2018-05-17 00:14:56 UTC

im running a 98 camry

2018-05-17 00:15:07 UTC

Oh, yeah, go nuts. And install it yourself, they aren't hard.

2018-05-17 00:15:28 UTC

Assuming there's not something weird about getting to them. It's just crimping like 20-50 wires.

2018-05-17 00:16:24 UTC

If you do it right you get a wiring harness, you attach that to the bare leads on the radio, and it just gives you a plug specific for your car. If you do it wrong, you just attach it straight to the car, no nice plug to unplug for the next stereo.

2018-05-17 00:16:57 UTC

Ah i see, yeah i know nothing about cars really

2018-05-17 00:17:32 UTC

Anyway guys, which is better, ATE or ES3??
