But. Why

2018-07-17 09:06:13 UTC

Versus 35000 RPM rotary tool

2018-07-17 09:06:34 UTC

@Deleted User Dunno, I just use screwdrivers. Neat gadget though.

2018-07-17 09:06:51 UTC

It's one of those new tools that has no real use

2018-07-17 09:07:03 UTC

And is going to probably brake before my toolset does.

2018-07-17 09:07:33 UTC

Nah, the people that have them love them, they work well. They're just an odd luxury type thing.

2018-07-17 09:08:05 UTC

If it's worth buying is the only debate, not if it's a good tool.

2018-07-17 09:08:23 UTC

Seems not worth unless you rarely need to use it

2018-07-17 09:08:42 UTC

I mean... Yeah, don't buy tools you won't use.

2018-07-17 09:09:28 UTC

...a phrase I should be the last person ever to say

2018-07-17 09:12:08 UTC

I need to buy more tools for a project

2018-07-17 09:12:10 UTC

yeah it wouldnt be worth it if my day job didnt involve disassembly of a ton of shitty laptops

2018-07-17 09:12:29 UTC

just seems like a nice convienience

2018-07-17 09:12:47 UTC

for that just get proper electric one and not a toy ?

2018-07-17 09:13:17 UTC

i'd figure the ES121 would be considered a proper one, wouldn't it?

2018-07-17 09:14:06 UTC

being able to pocket it is nice

2018-07-17 09:17:53 UTC

stuff like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GFINJ8 comes to mind for quarter of the price

2018-07-17 09:17:58 UTC

and way more uses

2018-07-17 09:18:46 UTC

and indeed dewalt has one gyro-inline one too what is actualy darn good machine

2018-07-17 09:19:02 UTC

but they are around same price

2018-07-17 09:21:53 UTC

>i'd figure the ES121 would be considered a proper one, wouldn't it?
Maybe, I don't know anything about the brand, I just know I'd feel safer with DeWalt than something from /csg/. But realistically, I was only mentioning the DeWalt because you wanted a gyro; Buy a Milwaukee.

2018-07-17 09:23:14 UTC

yeah we are mostly trying to get people shop smart and avoid those 1 trick pony/useless gadgets

2018-07-17 09:25:10 UTC

Just buy your tools from harbor freight

2018-07-17 09:25:14 UTC

Ez

2018-07-17 09:25:57 UTC

HF is great, but not for everything

2018-07-17 09:26:51 UTC

I missed there forth of July sale so next time I need to wait till they have an okay ish electric drill. So I can have adrill for my wood working stuff

2018-07-17 09:26:58 UTC

And not keep borrowing one

2018-07-17 09:33:49 UTC

US?

2018-07-17 09:34:38 UTC

Actually, is HF US only?

2018-07-17 09:34:56 UTC

I'm American. Yes.

2018-07-17 09:35:03 UTC

I live near one too

2018-07-17 09:35:16 UTC

Was gonna say, the drill is such a core, useful tool. It's one worth buying nice. And Kobalt is really reasonable.

2018-07-17 09:36:27 UTC

Yeah. I'll probably wait till a sale happens at home Depot

2018-07-17 09:36:47 UTC

I'll check today if I go pick up the 2 by 2s

2018-07-17 09:37:26 UTC

Kobalt is Lowe's house brand

2018-07-17 09:38:26 UTC

Oh. I'll check Lowe's if I ever remember where the fuck the local one is
