Righto, thanks fellas
Probably look into that this evening
So couple bucks more from GearBest but I get a warranty, right?
Oh, bugger, hope my new card arrives in time for the sale, I THINK it adds more warranty than the other few
I guess
wdym card?
New credit card, signed up last night
I don't remember which one's add warranty and which don't.
I mean I doubt it will break down that easily
nice thing of buying chinkphones aswell is that you can replace it every 2-3 years without it costing too much unlike flagships
Yeah, but I'd spend a few bucks on an extended warranty to mean I'm covered for those full 2-3 years
So no warranty Ali $180 vs 1 year GearBest $190, worth. 1 year GearBest vs 2-3 if I just check which card to use, worth.
US or elsewhere?
don't need them in europe really
Ah
Credit score is a big thing here for any money lending stuff, so it's worth using one regardless, but you're more covered if your card gets stolen/cloned if you're in credit instead of debit here
it's a weird system tbh
Which is a real possibility, because we're JUST NOW getting on chip and pin
Yeah, no arguments there
Just now?
@Kimichiboi finler.nl my fren
But, card networks charge merchants to accept their cards, so all the networks want you to use their card, so they add bonuses. % back on your statement, points to redeem towards gift cards or flights, extended warranty coverage, price matching for 90 days, etc
I know the basics but I don't see a reason to get them here
it's just added cost for things I can already just do with debit
All about building up reward points and insurance
And it's just one of those cases where they couldn't afford to do those things if EVERYONE took advantage, but few do, so if you're in that minority that does, it's SO worth it.
Also a credit card saves nerves during vacation
I'd just get insured prepaid for that
@Kimichiboi No added cost. It costs the merchants, and they aren't allowed to charge more for credit than debit.
Just pay within 3 weeks and it costs nothing
well here if you want insurance online you have to pay a fee
Aliexpress fees cough
