Alibaba = buying supply from factories
AliExpress = buying at consumer level from reseller stores or official storefronts for factories

iirc that's the diff, you'll find gigantic thousand order items on Alibaba

their inventory also is different

some larger stuff you have no hope in alie

but on alib you can find them easily

mostly due "shipping costs" items just dont sell on aliexpress that well
