Anyways, I'm not sure what to do in this situation. Any ideas?
have you tried using a taobao middleman
don't do this
why not just use alipay
official stores won't chink you
he has no chink credit card
@dogapult Just prepare your butthole to pay scalper prices. It'll still be cheaper than some chink pwning your CC
Normally, I just use alipay and it works fine. Taobao's own consolidation service has worked great for me in the past, except for when I erroneously tried to buy playing cards, without realizing they were "contraband"
the issue with scalpers is that there's a chance you'll get chinked for even greater prices
why the hell is a deck of cards contraband ?
use a prepaid card with limited balance
That's the thing, I'm not concerned about some chink pwning my CC, considering I'd still be buying through Taobao. And in fact, other stores offering the product seem happy to allow me to pay by credit card.
@foxhunt customs
I asked apparently it's "objects of gambling"
lol
Another thing on the contraband list is "bootleg items"
Yup
thing is, other stores seem to be offering it
and these stores don't have any issue with me using a credit card.
I don't know how they get the final payment, but at least the deposit is listed as just a regular purchase.
Just trust them ™
I mean, worst comes to worst I lose $22USD, which isn't the end of the world. But I don't feel like trying to deal with scalpers later.
are the lenovo carbon line any good?
Expensive, but good
which gen would you go for?
i heard the battery life is so-so
Not too much into the subject, /tpg/ is probably a better place to ask.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
hmm. looks like they don't make them with docking stations anymore
There's really no sort of docks for the carbons?
Considering they're more for enterprise use
I actually prefer chiclet keyboards, but that's me.
lmao, the x1 carbon line needs a usb-c to ethernet adapter for wired internet. fuck that shit is gay
too thin for ethernet cables kek
