2019-11-26 03:02:00 UTC

I WISH

2019-11-26 03:02:01 UTC

I dont think anyone is actaully going to do anything about our dying earth

2019-11-26 03:02:10 UTC

Electric cars have been around for years and yet nobody has them

2019-11-26 03:02:13 UTC

You're too young to remmebered the 2012 doomsday people

2019-11-26 03:02:14 UTC

*I wonder why*

2019-11-26 03:02:23 UTC

it's almost like money in politics ruins the world

2019-11-26 03:02:37 UTC

Because they're unfeasible for the average person

2019-11-26 03:02:41 UTC

I remmeber there being a 2012 doomsday prediction but I dont remember it having anythign to do with global warming or oil or anything.

2019-11-26 03:02:44 UTC

just "the world gonna end"

2019-11-26 03:02:56 UTC

I think it had something to do with venus passing in front of the sun

2019-11-26 03:02:56 UTC

Not everyone lives within an hour of where they need to be

2019-11-26 03:03:04 UTC

I was literally 10

2019-11-26 03:03:27 UTC

The electric car is made for city people

2019-11-26 03:03:45 UTC

Not rural types who drive far more and far longer distances

2019-11-26 03:04:33 UTC

I see electric cars all the time here in Houston, I go outside of it and I don't see a single one. The reason being that people need up to three hours of drive time outside the city.

2019-11-26 03:05:07 UTC

Also affordability, but why pay the extra cost if they don't work for your needs.

2019-11-26 03:05:16 UTC

It's a bourgeoisie concept.

2019-11-26 03:07:00 UTC

*why does it cost so much*

2019-11-26 03:07:18 UTC

🤔

2019-11-26 03:24:53 UTC

Gas costs a fuckton because of OPEC being forced by the Saudi’s to maintain a minimum export cost, to eliminate their competition and maximize profit. Look at the war in the Yemen rn, the Iran conflict, and the war with Saddam. That was/is an element in all those conflicts.

2019-11-26 03:27:43 UTC

Electric costs a lot because the technology is new, and infrastructure supporting electric transport has to catch up on 70 years of state-subsidized infrastructure for fossil fuels consuming transport

2019-11-26 04:08:03 UTC

Yep its true

2019-11-26 04:25:21 UTC

Luckily

2019-11-26 04:25:33 UTC

We just massacred Bolivian natives and couped their government

2019-11-26 04:25:41 UTC

So lithium batteries will stay cheap

2019-11-26 04:26:22 UTC

Thanks Monroe

2019-11-26 04:26:47 UTC

Great idea let's rely more on electricity in the cities where they're already over consuming

2019-11-26 04:59:50 UTC

Naw chief

2019-11-26 05:00:04 UTC

It’s the suburbs they are the problem

2019-11-26 06:09:26 UTC

30 years

2019-11-26 06:09:36 UTC

It's gonna be 30 years

2019-11-26 06:10:03 UTC

That's when everything will start falling apart

2019-11-26 06:11:51 UTC

Scarcity of resources, huge refugee crisis, resource and refugee wars, most of the planet uninhabitable because of global warming and pollution

2019-11-26 06:12:32 UTC

And the next huge economic crisis's of course

2019-11-26 07:18:47 UTC

30?

2019-11-26 07:18:54 UTC

That's not real accelerationist ofvyou

2019-11-26 07:28:42 UTC

I'm not an accelerationist

2019-11-26 07:29:05 UTC

There's no need to accelerate really

2019-11-26 07:45:44 UTC

What Laure said is true

2019-11-26 07:45:54 UTC
