I wonder what ww3 would've looked like

2018-07-25 14:49:10 UTC

and how it would effect me

2018-07-25 14:49:41 UTC

if it happened Id probably be ultra safe

2018-07-25 14:50:50 UTC

Im surprised that they're doing that though

2018-07-25 14:51:08 UTC

good on them but of course Ill still be suspicious of their intentions

2018-07-25 16:03:51 UTC

Why do you say you’d be ultra safe?

2018-07-25 16:03:57 UTC

Just wondering

I live in Ireland, Im rich, my country makes sure we never have to suffer through a famine ever again, I only need one meal a day and I stay indoors 99.999999% of the time.

2018-07-25 16:06:39 UTC

Its safe to say I'd be pretty secure unless they fuck the planet up way too much. But I highly doubt they'd end up destroying all of humanity or much of Ireland.

2018-07-25 16:08:27 UTC

Thing about Ireland is that it relies on other countries a lot for food and economy. If all the major powers (including the UK which they are right next to) end up being destroyed then they would have to basically survive on their own... which isn’t going to be easy or even possible. Add to that the possible refugee crisis from people leaving England. And the nuclear winter

2018-07-25 16:08:34 UTC

Idk, imma have some doubts

2018-07-25 16:11:12 UTC

It doesnt completely rely on other countries. Im sure we have special procedures for our people if we end up not relying on other countries for food. And thats assuming all the major powers would get destroyed

2018-07-25 16:12:10 UTC

As for nuclear winter I'll be fine indoors, if theres a crisis with refugees Im sure we'll handle it

2018-07-25 16:15:20 UTC

I didn’t say completely, but like any other modern nation, it relies on other nations to buy and sell goods. It doesn’t matter if your whole country manages to be spared a single factory being destroyed, if nobody buys what is being made then the companies will close. It would certainly bring a huge economic disaster because all of Ireland’s trading partners simply don’t exist anymore.

And yea, you can survive the winter indoors but the crops your people need to have food won’t.

Now you have an economic disaster, famine, no foreign nation to help, almost certainly some raiders from somewhere (because people are people) and now you have England, Scotland, Wales, and some from northern France trying to enter your already overwhelmed nation

2018-07-25 16:15:36 UTC

Let’s just say the cards aren’t in Ireland’s favor

2018-07-25 16:17:09 UTC

Like I said, Ireland has made special procedures to make sure we dont go through a famine again. Even with an economic disaster and without foreign help.

2018-07-25 16:18:07 UTC

Especially since the last famine was a failure with our crops

2018-07-25 16:20:04 UTC

There’s only so much a nation can do to prepare for a disaster that they don’t know how it will play out. Add to that that all he crops currently planted will be killed off because of the sudden climatic change, you’d be left with the hope of the next crops that will need to bear something without the sunlight, fertilizer, or water that we are all accustomed to

2018-07-25 16:20:56 UTC

The safety procedures you’re talking about I’m sure are designed for ideal conditions. Where the population isn’t doubling and the climate isn’t in free fall

2018-07-25 16:22:43 UTC

I doubt we'd be overly reliant on crops for reasons I said above. We plan on having 1 million people coming into ireland anyway so I assume we do. And thats implying we'd let that much refugees at once

2018-07-25 16:23:06 UTC

either way being rich I'd have access to more food

2018-07-25 16:23:18 UTC

but I only rely on one meal

2018-07-25 16:24:03 UTC

besides Im sure we can deal with a nuclear winter. We have dealt with long winters before I think.

2018-07-25 16:24:26 UTC

Less intense obviously but either way we'll deal with it

2018-07-25 16:24:39 UTC

especially because I dont see fallout happening much over here.

2018-07-25 16:25:06 UTC

I feel like you’re overestimating the power of money, and underestimating the disaster you’re talking about

2018-07-25 16:26:27 UTC

Hardly, the disaster will likely be minimum over here since no bombs will be dropped here. The closest is the UK and its assuming the UK will get nuked.

2018-07-25 16:27:05 UTC

Id surely be fine

2018-07-25 16:27:21 UTC

You don’t think a global nuclear winter would be a major disaster in Ireland?

2018-07-25 16:28:01 UTC

Not really, if it was I think we'd take in a lot less refugees either way

2018-07-25 16:28:10 UTC

I think maybe in the UK
