Dirt never changes

2018-01-21 21:10:48 UTC

It always does.

2018-01-21 21:11:03 UTC

There are billions of processes in dirt.

2018-01-21 21:11:21 UTC

The problem I see with this reasoning is that you can’t force change

2018-01-21 21:11:49 UTC

If tradition naturally changes over time then why should we force it to change

2018-01-21 21:11:53 UTC

It always changes itself. There is no need of interaction or force.

2018-01-21 21:12:01 UTC

Ok

2018-01-21 21:12:10 UTC

So why should we change if it’s natural

2018-01-21 21:12:12 UTC

We should not but we can.

2018-01-21 21:12:43 UTC

Well the way I see it is that Traditionalism is just certain limits but also a way to continue to control the populace strictly

2018-01-21 21:13:01 UTC

You can't do some things but you have the ability to do others without much effort.

2018-01-21 21:13:26 UTC

Traditionalist societies are not as flexible as others and reform is much harder to accomplish

2018-01-21 21:13:27 UTC

But hey

2018-01-21 21:13:34 UTC

At least you can conscript the populace

2018-01-21 21:13:48 UTC

I’m not entirely sure you understand what tradition is

2018-01-21 21:14:07 UTC

Tradition is usually there because it’s what works

2018-01-21 21:14:19 UTC

If a better way is found, then it will change

2018-01-21 21:14:20 UTC

That is that

2018-01-21 21:15:07 UTC

Stalin had to put back the law against homofobia because of the pressure. Russians did not want gays.

2018-01-21 21:15:27 UTC

There were alot of traditional or the norm things that were proven wrong with actual evidence but the church or nation didn't say "ok that is correct" until years after exploited.

2018-01-21 21:15:30 UTC

Now leftiest do not compromise.

2018-01-21 21:15:56 UTC

@Firefly That's a lie.

2018-01-21 21:15:58 UTC

So conversion from old to new is slower

2018-01-21 21:16:08 UTC

Ok that’s exactly what I said before if a better way is found or if it is proven wrong then tradition will change

2018-01-21 21:16:09 UTC

I see leftists compromise all the time.

2018-01-21 21:16:19 UTC

And that is also true

2018-01-21 21:16:27 UTC

@Deleted User That is even worse.

2018-01-21 21:16:49 UTC

But tradition compared to others change slower.

2018-01-21 21:16:58 UTC

Compared to what

2018-01-21 21:18:17 UTC

He sold you that gun

2018-01-21 21:18:48 UTC

"We will hang capitalists on the rope they sell us."

2018-01-21 21:19:08 UTC

That quote always seemed very ironic

2018-01-21 21:20:44 UTC

Was just about to use a dumb arguement about vikings and the world being round lol.

There were many generals during WWI when the tanks started to come out and show their success who still thought the calvary charge was much more effective at the time. A tank needs to be stopped by bombs or stick something in the tracks, a horse can be shot and killed. Generals of entire armies, men who lives depended on their choices were set in their mind that a horse and a sword can kill better than an armored giant.

2018-01-21 21:21:20 UTC

Hell calvary generals still sat around in WWII.

2018-01-21 21:22:35 UTC

Well there are going to be some who cling to tradition even if it is proven wrong

2018-01-21 21:22:43 UTC

You can’t stop those people

2018-01-21 21:22:46 UTC

They're quite die hard.

2018-01-21 21:22:51 UTC

But the majority move on

2018-01-21 21:23:03 UTC

Hence why Traditionalists are much harder to convert to the newer things.

2018-01-21 21:23:12 UTC

Be it scientific advancement for all of humanity
