I'm not actually in Texas rn, but I have lived there, if that counts
Fuck you texas and fuck you lone star beer
I was told this server is for nerds who are interested in other languages and cultures, and I'm a nerd who occasionally gets on a Duolingo kick and wishes I actually knew another language, so I figured I'd pop in.
Don't listen to him, he's retaraded <:haha:318675605233336330>
Lol
Go ahead, we have some burgers here as well, but mostly euro.
And I believe few asians 🤔
What languages are u learning tho?
I've started a small bit of Russian and German, made a very brief attempt at Japanese, and I took Spanish in school, so that one I've actually gotten somewhere. I'm just not very disciplined with it, keep jumping around or stopping entirely.
We acutally have a lot of germans here and the other admin learns german as well so maybe u can talk a bit with them ^^
also duolingo is meh, because it doesnt really teach you grammar
this
Fair enough
Grammar is for nerds
You have to feel the language
It needs to get your dick hard
Gramma won't do that
Tbh, my biggest problem with learning languages is just remembering vocabulary. Anything that isn't a cognate or well-known is just gone by the time I want to study again. That's the discipline issue, though, I'm sure I could do better if I was committed to one and kept at it.
You gotta listen to Rammstein and drink beer to be fluent german.
Learn Norwegian
By listening to burzum
And drink akevitt
svenska är bättre hayya
dont learn german whatever you do
Svensk og svensker er dritt
Ferdi
@Agamemnon hello im trying to learn German too <:haha:318675605233336330>
How to get arrested?
>also duolingo is meh, because it doesnt really teach you grammar
it teaches some of it but yeah it's lackluster in that regard, tho you learn some through sheer memorization of phrases too
i hate grammar <:angery:474501987619307530>
nerd
vocabulary is ok
