We live in a world where money trumps morality.
This is what true journalism looks like...
Everyone in the military, especially command and control, needs to watch that video.
It outlines the big picture that is the corruption, which is undermining the people completely while killing millions of others needlessly.
The military industrial complex is the greatest threat to the people in world history.
The governments are their gatekeepers.
If this was all a game of chess, the collective private military contractors is the enemy king.
I mean I get that it can seem like slavery since everyone expects you to work once you exist. But that's basically what life is, you have to work. Or provide for yourself or your family provides for you. But a lot of people can't really afford to have their family's support since they don't have much money. Fortunately for me my family is quite wealthy so I don't really need to worry about that. But I will work either way because I want to be productive for others, not just myself.
But yeah I wouldn't put my job above my morality either. I have a lot of time to study so I might as well take my time and relax until I decide to work.
Then you're the very rare person who works because they want to, not because you need to.
You are the 1%.
I doubt it's only 1% who work because they want to maybe a little more.
No, you're the 1% that never has to work.
But there is nothing intrinsic to life that mandates you perform wage labour.
there's more than 1% that don't need to work. Well depends on what country.
How about homelessness and death?
Of course not in the world.
to want to work, be useful, or reach self actualization doesnt at equate to wage labour
1% of the world.
Not all of us turned into that.
And it is infact a form of coerced labour
Not literal slavery, but coerced nonetheless
There are people who either can't or won't work...they are homeless or on disability...unless they're wealthy.
I don't want to work just for the money, simply because I don't really need money. I want to work if it benefitted others.
Coerced labor is slavery.
It's a nice way of saying forced.
coerced labor is labor you perform, under coercion.
It isnt intrinsically slavery
because you technically have a false choice
Just like signing paperwork under duress.
"Work or starve"
Exactly.
yes but if you're a capitalist,
That's slavery.
you pretend thats a choice
Which obviously its not,
but I image E is a capitalist
or wants to be one
He wants capitalism because he is wealthy.
