2019-09-03 20:57:51 UTC

In German I usually hear it with, like, an "h" sound between the d and m

2019-09-03 20:57:54 UTC

wanna come vc and practice?

2019-09-03 20:58:08 UTC

And if I attempt to make that sound I just fail miserably, lol

2019-09-03 20:58:11 UTC

2019-09-03 20:58:12 UTC

germans have their own 'r'

2019-09-03 20:58:17 UTC

which is somewhat similar to the french 'r'

2019-09-03 20:58:20 UTC

its guttural

2019-09-03 20:58:56 UTC

2019-09-03 20:58:56 UTC

2019-09-03 21:00:04 UTC

ja heil

2019-09-03 21:00:12 UTC

It's just generally difficult for me to make breathy consonants without getting tongue tied and just stopping the word in the middle, sounding like I'm hacking up a lougie, or starting a coughing fit.

2019-09-03 21:00:30 UTC

2019-09-03 21:00:39 UTC

you dont produce the german r with your tongue

2019-09-03 21:00:44 UTC

2019-09-03 21:02:42 UTC

I'll start with attempting to say German r right. Seems easier than others, though still weird. I feel like I pretty much don't use my throat at all to speak.

2019-09-03 21:02:48 UTC

GIB FLAG NOW @rogalik
