Serial killers and people of that nature should definitely be executed, suicidal or not. Only the seriously deranged should be hospitalized.

There is no reason to do so.
People on death row are usually deranged. Only people that are completely out of touch with reality should be hospitalized.
Except add another body count for the sake of being hurt which the person most likely did his horrible action. Simply because he was hurt.
