Hey have you ever noticed that how people learn, it starts with human interactions being similar to communism then slowly turn to capitalism?

2018-04-15 14:50:45 UTC

Like they first teach you to share then they teach you that you only get things through hard work.

2018-04-15 14:51:10 UTC

At least simple versons of communism and capitalism

2018-04-15 14:51:57 UTC

Hot

2018-04-15 14:52:06 UTC

someone said in another discord 'capitalists are a minority'

2018-04-15 14:52:08 UTC

like

2018-04-15 14:52:08 UTC

wtf

2018-04-15 14:55:24 UTC

Pretty sure that even if economic ideologies did work like that, I'm pretty sure it would be a majority

2018-04-15 15:25:39 UTC

I dislike this notion that somehow communism is all for sharingand being nice to people and ethics and the right is all about not sharing and not caring about other people etc

2018-04-15 15:25:42 UTC

Its false

2018-04-15 15:25:46 UTC

Its studid

2018-04-15 15:25:52 UTC

And its dangerous

2018-04-15 15:27:34 UTC

Communism isn’t about dandy sharing and nice flowers, I agree

2018-04-15 15:28:10 UTC

Communism sucks

2018-04-15 15:28:14 UTC

oh

2018-04-15 15:28:15 UTC

In many countries capitalism has been an enabler for social wellfare systems

2018-04-15 15:29:54 UTC

Im listening to this podcast and this woman defines leftism as being against homophobia and other social issues that nearly everybody agrees on

2018-04-15 15:30:54 UTC

Yung is such a hot tankie

2018-04-15 15:31:05 UTC

2018-04-15 15:38:38 UTC

Hahahah

2018-04-15 15:39:20 UTC

@supermodel ruben
I disagree, if you look at examples of social welfare being implemented into Capitalist systems you will see a clear trend. They are concessions. Just like labor rights, welfare isn’t even a part of Capitalism, it is an add on feature granted to working classes. In the case of Scandinavia for instance, it was clearly a concession due to the presence of the USSR. Ever since the Soviet Union collapsed, those countries have been heading towards privatization again. Social Democracy is basically not a thing anymore, and if it is present it’s not like it was during “the good days”

2018-04-15 15:40:06 UTC

Well I am not saying its not a concession ofcourse

2018-04-15 15:40:35 UTC

But man if you live in uk/germany/netherlands/scandinavia

2018-04-15 15:40:56 UTC

You will not starve

2018-04-15 15:41:11 UTC

You will not be unable to get medical attention when you need to

2018-04-15 15:41:32 UTC

Poverty is nearly non existent

2018-04-15 15:42:07 UTC

When people in the netherlands refer to national poverty the speak about not being able to buy new clothes every month

2018-04-15 15:42:10 UTC

Or a new tv

2018-04-15 15:42:19 UTC

That is not poverty

2018-04-15 15:43:29 UTC

Let me ask a very fair question

2018-04-15 15:43:40 UTC

In the situation of complete communism

2018-04-15 15:43:55 UTC

Where does the capital for social wellfare structures comes from

2018-04-15 16:06:35 UTC

Communism has to be post-scarcity, meaning that you would have eliminated problems on distribution and production of goods. It’s a gift economy. You wouldn’t even have capital

2018-04-15 16:08:24 UTC

@supermodel ruben btw where I live in The Hague, although I know less than you when it comes to NL, it’s a pretty shitty neighborhood, with very clear cut poverty. Not a fun place to go around at night at all. And it’s pretty clear to me that the Hague is a relatively rich city

2018-04-15 16:35:15 UTC

Sex

2018-04-15 16:41:19 UTC

I do not think the word poverty should be used when theres free healthcare, free tuition, government funding for people w/e a solid income, government funding for people with kids, government funding for housing, social housing, etc

2018-04-15 16:41:27 UTC

But thats semantics

2018-04-15 16:42:42 UTC

I think poverty is an apt word for people who really struggle to get by, feed their family, are homeless ecc.

2018-04-15 16:43:56 UTC

Well the number of homeless people in the netherlands is almost neglectable
