Also on that last message about gun rights, people should just have access to firearms maybe 20 years or so odler than current military ones, just in case goverment becomes too corrupt.

Well you see if you have a firearm, which had been recently developed and is not even that popular in army market, but had already been implimented in civilian market, it will probably catch the attention of militias which will buy it in mass amount. Making newer guns less accessable will just result in them having to use shittier weaponry.

On black market newer guns usually cost a fuckton more than their market price because it takes too much effort to actually get them.

Civilians are a way bigger group.

And if 60% of people will rise up, they could simply overthrow the goverment.

Also army is not 100% certain to stay within goverment's reach in that case.

Stealing from military bases in first world is almost impossible since penalty for it is life in prison or excution and they're guarded to shit.

What I'm getting at is that civilians having more or less modern firearms isn't meant to be practical, it's meant to be a constant reminder to the state not to fuck with people to much or there will be blood.
