Yeah, I was in Special Ed when I was young.

I want to give these kids a better education than I received.

Is the state you are in not kind to them?

We're better than we used to be, but yeah the state still does fail Special Ed kids a lot.

To be fair though, a lot of kids I work with are just kids with behavioral problems.

Aside from two kids with legitimate mental or physical disabilities, yeah most kids are just kids with behavior issues.

So why is it they are in special ed?

I've not heard of bad kids being put in special ed from my experience.

Usually it's kids with anger problems who have a lot of outbursts. Maybe you could argue that's a special need of some kind.
