Ya looks like you going a bit more fat than muscle with your bulk, probably just a diet issue, make sure your in a caloric deficit and in taking more protein and healthy fats than carbs and you should be gold

2019-09-25 03:38:13 UTC

Okay

2019-09-25 03:38:36 UTC

No beer+sugar for hobbit

2019-09-25 03:38:51 UTC

Fitness isn't as hard as people make seem, if your building muscle make sure your getting mostly protein

2019-09-25 03:38:57 UTC

Absolutely

2019-09-25 03:39:00 UTC

Yee that's a good rule to use

2019-09-25 03:39:06 UTC

I hit the gym like 3x a week

2019-09-25 03:39:19 UTC

Mostly running + stairs +weights

2019-09-25 03:39:31 UTC

Sounds like a good routine

2019-09-25 03:39:36 UTC

I go hiking a lot so I have to have good mobility strength

2019-09-25 03:40:00 UTC

Like backpack hiking with 30-50lbs of kit

2019-09-25 03:40:01 UTC

Make sure you are doing progressive overload on weights, very important to build mass

2019-09-25 03:40:08 UTC

Idk what that is

2019-09-25 03:40:12 UTC

Noice that's good fat burning right there

2019-09-25 03:40:20 UTC

Exactly

2019-09-25 03:40:26 UTC

Basically just progressively adding more and more

2019-09-25 03:40:31 UTC

Gotcha

2019-09-25 03:40:57 UTC

Like you should be adding just a little.more weight each time helps build muscle and assure your body isn't getting used to the weight

2019-09-25 03:41:02 UTC

Got it

2019-09-25 03:41:26 UTC

Typically do 2 miles treadmill + 5mins stairs + 20 mins weights

2019-09-25 03:41:37 UTC

Does that sound right

2019-09-25 03:42:03 UTC

Sounds pretty good, if you wanna put on more muscle I'd hit the weights it more

2019-09-25 03:42:10 UTC

Gotcha

2019-09-25 03:42:30 UTC

Could do 1 mi running and 30 -40 mins weights or something

2019-09-25 03:43:01 UTC

I lift weights for about an hour then run a mile in a half on cardio days and do 30 min abs with my lifting on non cardio days

2019-09-25 03:43:27 UTC

Gotcha

2019-09-25 03:43:36 UTC

My abs are crazy strong

2019-09-25 03:43:53 UTC

I worked on cars professionally without a lift, on a creeper, for like a year

2019-09-25 03:43:59 UTC

Noice, stone abs are important for big lifts and compound lifting in general

2019-09-25 03:44:21 UTC

Fucking do a half cruch for 40 minutes at a time while working

2019-09-25 03:44:27 UTC

Lol

2019-09-25 03:45:15 UTC

Also good upper body/back from working on the ground on my back. Having to work with my arms raised in the air above my head basically bench pressing cars n shit

2019-09-25 03:45:44 UTC

But I wanna get rid of this tummy fat that came with that

2019-09-25 03:49:36 UTC

Ya, belly fat is hard, can't really spot lose it, gotta just cut till it's gone

2019-09-25 03:51:31 UTC

I mean I don't need to have a shreddy 6 pack but I also wanna be a fucking cave man so

2019-09-25 22:18:22 UTC

Oof my bench sucks

2019-09-25 22:18:40 UTC

Out her rowing more than I bench

2019-09-25 22:27:30 UTC

Running helps a little with the stomach

2019-09-25 22:28:19 UTC

True cardio and calisthenics

So need some advice from the swolefather. I let myself go for the last 2 years, and I decided this easy the year to try to fix it all. I stopped smoking and think I have been off the sauce long enough to consider working out with out having to worry about stress eating. Gym is out of the question right now cause I’m poor as fuck, but I started changing my diet and drinking more water ( I try to drink around 2 L a day) I’m currently doing 30 pushups start from a regular push-up then when I can’t get up I drop to my knees. I’m doing 30 sit-ups as well I start to struggle around the 28 mark. I know I need to start running, but I’m scared to because I’m prone to stress fractures and that ended my military career. Anybody got any advice/ ideas or suggestions on how to improve or replace running?

@Existance is pain just work your way up slowly to long runs, it's a marathon not a sprint
