in case you hit impossible odds, pause the game and give orders to your entire fleet of ships up to but not limited: turn off shields to re-route power to energy weapons, engage nuclear torpedo's, send in space-marines on their ships to fuck them up from within, overcharge shields, etc

the pause feature is amazing in this game and only in this game

since it let's you give out stacked orders like you're some super AI god

to this day, this is still the best RTS space military sim game
