It sucks?
God no.
That is just how the world is.
If you are unarmed, you are defanged. Your words have no bite and your self-defense will be lacking.
That be how things are.
It sucks because it makes it extremely easy for people to kill eachother with no skills whatsoever.
I'm saying that it sucks that's the way the world is, and that's how they feel as well (at least the sheep that is, there are others that want to remove guns for far worse reasons)
However
They've lost touch with reality thinking they can change that that's how the world is
It is just as easy for a person with a knife to kill other people with no skills whatsoever.
Look at fucking London.
No, it's harder. But not by a whole lot
People don't hear knife stabs.
True
People don't fear knives like they do guns.
You see a gun pointed in your direction and most freeze and think.
Dumb ones just get shot dead.
Its true that guns are more obvious as threats, so people are more likely to react in a way to protect themselves
Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
However, you can stand in a crowded room and kill 20-30 people in 20 seconds if you're a good shot
You have to be closer to them
A rabid knifeman can end up killing that many too before they know it.
but that's not really the point
because if they are rabid, the only way to stop it is by putting them down
If you're a good shot you can do the same thing from hundreds of feet away with a gun
*and you do that by arming people*
I'm not saying that the answer is creating gun free zones. Its not and they have the opposite effect
hundreds of feet? 30-90 meters?
that takes skill
I'm just saying they're more dangerous
I said if someone's skilled
the kind of people that are capable usually don't have reasons to do it
For the most part, yes
you might get the occasional PTSD dude with no support and a failing network
but every single fucking suicidal shooter is someone who isn't capable, who's a fuckup and who has been left by the wayside to become bitter
99+% of people who train like that aren't interested in killing people randomly
In developed countries anyway
decent people in decent countries with decent cultures being trained decently act decent, whoda thunk it?
the gun problems in the US are not really gun problems
they are social problems
