@whiic I've watched that video years ago, and I've liked it very much then (I saw it had a like from me). However, the video was made in 2016, and I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Alt-Hype has made many valid arguments about race and IQ, and yes Colttaine btfo'd him on one particular argument, but as a whole AH makes good arguments and shouldn't be discarded on the basis that he made some bad arguments. To my knowledge he's a sharp tool and open to learning, and he has discarded a few of his old ideas. He's even attacked a bunch of AR himself over the years. Plus, Colttaine btfo-ing AH on one single argument doesn't mean all arguments that *sound* like AR talking points must be rejected. Some of my ideas make me *sound* like AR, but that doesn't mean they *are* invalid.
That aside, my own case for being skeptical about migration and racemixing goes beyond IQ and its effects on freedom and prosperity. I also worry about how general dating preferences affect mean IQ; social cohesion (e.g. from trust); racial segregation (which concerns us all regardless of our political views, because people self-segregate anyway, which Colttaine also argues. And he supports the argument of genetic sub-groups within larger demographics, which means that, since people self-segregate, the larger demographics will not change much of their genetic material due to the overall ingroup preference, but I'm aware that's a contentious point); and side effects of those phenomenons. The combination of all things can make for a dangerous cocktail, and that's only considering known variables (since we can't predict perfectly how demographics affect each other when demographics change). We know already about things like flight (mainly capital and racial) that significantly impact the fate of a larger demographic. Since many people are irrational (even many smart ones), the effects of surface attributes on social cohesion is always an important thing to keep in mind.
