There have been times where I've gone way past my limit and then ran around in circles for like five minutes and then slammed myself into a wall

Stretching is absolutely a requirement before exertion- provided circumstance permits it.
@Laucivol my whole family is super into it. But since a year or so I stopped because that would be empirically not fair
in ww2 american footsoldiers ate more than 4k calories in a day
