So can we all agree that Vaush lost?

2019-12-07 20:55:09 UTC

@SufferBuddy Why don't you uh

2019-12-07 20:55:11 UTC

Do some work?

2019-12-07 20:56:46 UTC

Vaush won by only by shouting down the opposition

2019-12-07 20:58:59 UTC

vaush increases the gain on his mic, so he always is the loudest

2019-12-07 20:59:17 UTC

I wouldn't be fucking suprised

2019-12-07 20:59:23 UTC

I missed the first 40mins

2019-12-07 20:59:32 UTC

Wonder if he keeps turning it up as the debate goes on

2019-12-07 20:59:57 UTC

I only listened to the first 40 mins, I could feel my IQ dropping with every minute I listen to that clown

2019-12-07 21:00:27 UTC

I am, but today it is mostly waiting on guests to arrive, so for the next 7 hours I will be the only one in the building wait on people, I do all my other duties during morning shifts so when I work the afternoons and I have to deal with people I can actually do that. @Jack of Trades

2019-12-07 21:00:34 UTC

He didn't win the popular vote by no fucking means the chat despised him

2019-12-07 21:00:51 UTC

What's the point of winning the debate if everyone fucking hates you with a passion?

2019-12-07 21:01:34 UTC

"won"

2019-12-07 21:01:57 UTC

Vaush didn't win shit, his arguments were garbage and the people watching could clearly see he was in the wrong.

2019-12-07 21:02:00 UTC

The viewers lost the most in that "debate"

2019-12-07 21:02:17 UTC

Depends on how you decide won if we're going on general consensus then he didn't win

2019-12-07 21:02:44 UTC

Even JF thinks Sargon won and he doesn't much care for Sargon. One thing I did realize though, is that the "alt right" has changed classical liberals for the better, odd as that may be.

2019-12-07 21:02:56 UTC

Yeah that's the thing though Sargon didn't smash him in the debate the audience did

2019-12-07 21:03:00 UTC

@Samaritan™ General consensus of who?

2019-12-07 21:03:06 UTC

The audience

2019-12-07 21:03:10 UTC

@Samaritan™ That Vaush won? XD

2019-12-07 21:03:17 UTC

That he lost

2019-12-07 21:03:23 UTC

Then we agree that Sargon won 😉

2019-12-07 21:03:33 UTC

both with his arguments and how people felt

2019-12-07 21:03:38 UTC

If you use the general consensus of the audience as the deciding metric then Sargon won

2019-12-07 21:03:53 UTC

I use the arguments Sargon made vs Vaush's arguments

2019-12-07 21:04:08 UTC

Even if sargon only drank his tea during that "debate" and didn't say a single word he would have won

2019-12-07 21:04:20 UTC

Vaush didn't set out what he meant to, Sargon spoke to the crowd and Vaush didn't support his position or his own arguments, not to mention completely failing to refute any of Sargon's

2019-12-07 21:04:25 UTC

Sargon didn't make them very well because he was being shouted down and good boy Sargoy choose not to go all IBS on them

2019-12-07 21:04:44 UTC

@Samaritan™ He made them fine, Vaush was simply disengenuous.

2019-12-07 21:05:01 UTC

He's clearly a sophist without an ounce of real debate skill or dexterity.

2019-12-07 21:05:07 UTC

Vaush shot himself in the head argument wise when he started saying Sargon was alt-right and so on

2019-12-07 21:05:09 UTC

Imao

2019-12-07 21:05:10 UTC

He isnt' remotely charitable, Sargon is all that

2019-12-07 21:05:27 UTC

Precisely, Vaush lost because his ***ARGUMENTS WERE POOR***

2019-12-07 21:05:40 UTC

He refuted his OWN position multiple times

2019-12-07 21:05:47 UTC

He isn't and that's a negative for him but that isn't because of anything Sargon did its because of how obnoxious and dishonest he is

2019-12-07 21:05:55 UTC

He defeated himself in other words

2019-12-07 21:05:57 UTC

"Yeah it IS subjective!" therefore he's not actually arguing for positions people hold, but what others think of them.

2019-12-07 21:06:50 UTC

@Samaritan™ Partly because Sargon was capable of defending himself. He lead Vaush down many paths very subtly and caught his bullshit before he could spring a trap. Sargon kept Vaush on his back foot the entire debate with barely an ounce of effort.

2019-12-07 21:07:29 UTC

Because he drove home all his point with clarity and simplicity. It might appear that Vaush only defeated himself, but that's not true. Sargon just had the right of it and could immediately refute the basic claims Vaush made.
