Christianity's alright.
Certainly beneficial and good.
All you said was p1 and p2 and that they don’t contradict
P1 and p2 contradicting wasn’t even in question
The problem is. I’m the Christian view it’s believed that god can not be incomplete, yet having desires defacto means you are incomplete, being complete would mean not having desires. Similarly having desires means you’re not pure actualization, Because desires are potential
That’s why your response was a dodge
Basically all of the responses boiled down to: god can’t be imperfect and yes god has will but it’s not will for himself, it’s will for us! Or god can’t be imperfect and god has will(which is just reiterating the logical problem at hand
@Veraic theres your explanation. next time youre having a serious conversation about suicide in the middle of any of our conversations, ill assume you cant explain. >.>
@Joywolf No. We already explained it thrice, but you fail to understand our concepts. God's desires are for us to make the right choice - i.e outside of his (voluntary) control. He has decided that we should have free will, and gave us the choice. He wants us to make the right choice, he is utterly complete, WE are not and he wants us to be
I don't understand why it's so hard for you to grasp this concept
its not outside of him. its *his* desire, how can it be his desire and outside of him. its not *my* desire that i should make the "right choice"
I don't understand why it's so hard for you to grasp this concept
That is the nature of being omnipotent
