Thorium needs plutonium.😐

2019-06-21 07:02:18 UTC

@Wendy The plutnoium is what makes Thorium so safe

2019-06-21 07:02:43 UTC

Is there is a dangerous situation, u seperate the thorium from the plutonoium and the reaction stops instantly.

2019-06-21 07:03:03 UTC

its expensive af tho

2019-06-21 07:03:19 UTC

it would make it useless

2019-06-21 07:03:25 UTC

i mean

2019-06-21 07:03:38 UTC

thorium is still better

2019-06-21 07:03:51 UTC

but the plutonium I think is what makes people not use it

2019-06-21 07:05:28 UTC

@Wendy No, the plutnoium to thorium ratio is like 1:100. Even factoring in the costs of the plutonium it is magnitudes safer and more efficient than uranium reactors.

2019-06-21 08:20:23 UTC

No shit

2019-06-21 08:20:24 UTC

BUT

2019-06-21 08:20:30 UTC

it's still very expensive

2019-06-21 09:47:28 UTC

@Wendy Even factoring the costs, its still cheaper

2019-06-21 09:48:42 UTC

there probably is a problem somewhere that we arent noticing

2019-06-21 09:49:01 UTC

there's definitely a reason this isn't getting used

2019-06-21 10:39:58 UTC

```But the real reason we use uranium over thorium is a result of wartime politics. Cold War-era governments (including ours) backed uranium-based reactors because they produced plutonium — handy for making nuclear weapons. ``` @Wendy
2019-06-21 10:40:30 UTC
Thorium uses plutonium, Uranium make sit
2019-06-21 10:40:43 UTC
There is literally nothing Uranium is better at
2019-06-21 18:37:57 UTC
@everyone Daily Question 🔖
- Should corporal (physical) punishment be used in schools, what are the pros and cons?
2019-06-21 18:38:13 UTC
no
2019-06-21 18:38:18 UTC
No
2019-06-21 18:38:18 UTC
Shut up retard
2019-06-21 18:39:26 UTC
No. Taking away their education is a much more painful punishment.
2019-06-21 18:39:27 UTC
No, it's the parents' job to discipline their children.
2019-06-21 18:39:27 UTC
Yes
2019-06-21 18:39:28 UTC
Absolutely
2019-06-21 18:39:39 UTC
@Spydig true
2019-06-21 18:40:16 UTC
Pupils often act very differently at home than they do at home
2019-06-21 18:40:29 UTC
Attitudes at home do not automatically translate to attitudes at school
2019-06-21 18:40:33 UTC
No
2019-06-21 18:40:51 UTC
Therefore strict discipline is required on both ends
2019-06-21 18:40:55 UTC
Both at home and at school
2019-06-21 18:41:21 UTC
But is it best for children psychologically? 🤔
2019-06-21 18:41:44 UTC
Anyone who falls out of line by being rebellious or causing intentional mischief must be physically beat
2019-06-21 18:41:53 UTC
Physical punishment just makes the children more rebellious
2019-06-21 18:41:57 UTC
Detentions do nothing
2019-06-21 18:42:04 UTC
@Conical (((oats))) Not if you beat them hard enough
2019-06-21 18:42:12 UTC
cock and balls torture
2019-06-21 18:42:25 UTC
@Deleted User that just mentally fucks with them
2019-06-21 18:42:28 UTC
big succie succie makes school boys cringe
eternal shame so they die
2019-06-21 18:42:39 UTC
Beat your slaves senselessly and they resent you
