It keeps going up every couple years
Yes I know with the productivity
Probably Europe
Not US tho
Yes I'm in Europe
I'm answering from a Bavarian perspective because that's all I know personally
How do you expect me to answer
U.S. minimum wage? Yeah it's too low
Way too low considering there isn't guarantee of benefits and time off
Benefits and paid time off are something rare in the US
I'm more in favor of better guarantees of benefits than raising some arbitrary number that will also raise cost of living
Fuck, in Germany it's 3 or 4 weeks
Median Income has not risen with inflation
I love how capitalism worshippers say "but if you raise minium wage corporations will just raise prices and inflation!!!!!!! :((((("
No they won't. We'll force them not to. You know why? Because they're already underpaying.
In the US at least
in the end, corporations managed to get higher profits without paying that back
It's Justice.
Proverbs 29:4
**Proverbs 29:4 - Good News Translation (GNT)**
```Dust
<4> When the king is concerned with justice, the nation will be strong, but when he is only concerned with money, he will ruin his country. ```
Demand that companies raise their wage annually
ban mass layoffs
but don't set the wage itself
I didn't say it was
When did I say it was
Also Christianity is a cult
I want communism in the end
Yang gang we yang gang we yang gang we YANG GANG!!!
There’s a law that was passed in the late 70’s early 80’s in the US that I think really screwed our wage growth let me@find it
It was when this guy John Shad under Ronald Reagan removed some rules from the 1934 securities exchange act preventing companies from doing stock buy backs
Before the law was changed companies spent less than a percent of their profits on stock dividends and stock buy backs and instead spent it all on wages and investment into the company.
Up to the 2007 recession when some of the biggest companies were spending over half their profits in stock buy backs
Something to think about
idk if its true that people earn to little, i think that artificial scarcity is making essential goods far more expensive than they should be
