@Koninos do you reckon if Trump is removed and Pence becomes president would it make it more likely for one the Democratic candidates to be elected?

2019-12-20 21:06:46 UTC

That hypothetical likely wouldn’t happen, either the Senate (or some other governmental entity) would most likely pass a verdict to delay the trial until the elections, or the incumbent majority votes otherwise when the actual trial arrives.

However, I would like to see Pence’s policies in-depth, if push came to shove.

@Deli.v2 Currently the Democrats don't have a strong opposition, so in my opinion, if Trump stays in office, Pence or him are going to be reelected on 2020 election, and if Trump leaves the office, Pence is for sure going to become president.
Unless a miracle happens, and Sanders wins. But it's unlikely.

2019-12-20 21:40:45 UTC

it seems as if 2024 will be a big election if anything

2019-12-20 23:51:34 UTC

There is no such thing as a lack of culture, just transplanting one with another

2019-12-21 01:19:03 UTC

@adolphus the sorrowful There are a few key reasons i disagree that gender norms are (inheritly) harmful, and why they are harmful in __today's__ world.

Let's start with why it's bad today, It is only harmful to today's society - as modern society has largely let go of the cultural responsibilities and honoring of men and women.
If a person was a good example of the cultural role model they were supposed to be - they were encouraged by society. This is the root of the problem - it is not the norms themselves,
but the shifting culture which has made it harmful. Society can make a thing harmful or beneficial regardless of the inherit negatives / positives of a system or norm. These norms which
society has largely let go of are detrimental for the foundations of a functioning and humanistic civilization. Without it we are first extremely independent beings, then we break down and
are open to influence to larger authorities, becoming mindless drones. A large part of the problem of mental health today is a signifigant portion of the population has grown up without
a Father Figure (or Mother Figure, but its less common), and growing up without a Father Figure leads to increased depression, increased feminization (yes, seriously) - which means
many young boys grow up without a proper figure to teach them how to control their emotions. You might say that men should go the female route of emotionalization and express
their emotions openly - but this is bad for the continuity of boundries between men and women.

2019-12-21 01:21:16 UTC

Unfortunately I had a father figure

2019-12-21 01:21:34 UTC

Or just a dad idk

2019-12-21 01:21:49 UTC

A negligent dad is not a Father Figure

2019-12-21 01:22:12 UTC

The problem is many fathers are not fulfilling their responsibility as a Father Figure, to teach and mentor.

2019-12-21 01:22:13 UTC

He definitely wasn't negligent lol

2019-12-21 01:23:31 UTC

He made sure to tell me everything I did wrong

2019-12-21 01:23:43 UTC

And everything else I did wrong

2019-12-21 01:23:55 UTC

And everything anyone else did wrong lol

2019-12-21 01:24:37 UTC

So he was the authoritative parent, I believe there are three kinds classified at the topic of psychology.

2019-12-21 01:25:03 UTC

Yeah

2019-12-21 01:25:05 UTC

I guess

2019-12-21 01:25:22 UTC

Off topic tho

2019-12-21 01:25:28 UTC

So nevermind

2019-12-21 17:33:21 UTC

If the mother becomes the mentor, I don't see where the problem is. Personally I have a very bad relationship with my father, but my grandfather and mother have "replaced" him on that topic. The real problem comes when no one is willing to become the mentor.

2019-12-22 00:49:02 UTC

@Maksim Why do you think a father figure and mother figure are necessary to the development of a child? I agree that two parents is usually better than one, for emotional support and financial support. But I don't believe this yin-yang dichotomy bullshit exists

2019-12-22 00:54:47 UTC

the negative effects of fatherless homes is massive

2019-12-22 01:03:45 UTC

@adolphus the sorrowful family structure is one of the most important factors in a child's development, and moms and dad have proven to comprise the best structures, any exceptions prove the rule.

2019-12-22 01:06:06 UTC

even adopted children do better on average than children raised by single parents or same sex parents

2019-12-22 03:54:22 UTC

@adolphus the sorrowful people who have daddy issues are typical queer or mentally ill

2019-12-22 03:58:36 UTC

In most cases I have seen of convicted criminals, particularly in the youth, they grew up without a father figure that would have essentially provided them the disciplining and lessons of consequences of doing reprehensible acts.

However, when you later view their behavior when an authority figure attempts to curtail their troublesome personality, they end up shutting down or throwing something equivalent to a tantrum because they haven’t been disciplined for the same acts beforehand.

2019-12-22 03:59:22 UTC

I believe you can see a considerable chunk of that behavior in the series “Bad Lads Army.”

2019-12-22 05:44:09 UTC

@Enkrum you mean nonwhites

2019-12-22 05:44:21 UTC

Well, they were 50/50.

2019-12-22 05:44:30 UTC

In terms of the show.

2019-12-22 05:44:38 UTC

But yes, it’s a substantial amount of nonwhites.

2019-12-22 05:52:05 UTC

2019-12-22 05:53:57 UTC

@Enkrum explain this

2019-12-22 05:55:01 UTC

I’m aware of the chart, I’m just referring to the sampling of the teens I saw in the show that was meant to correct dysfunctional youth via military school.

2019-12-22 05:55:12 UTC

It was made by Jews

2019-12-22 07:04:24 UTC

68% of white Americans are in poverty?

2019-12-22 07:04:28 UTC

Quite startling

2019-12-22 07:13:49 UTC

no

2019-12-22 07:14:18 UTC

68% of americans in poverty are "white"
