Sidereal is a meme. Unless you're using an Eastern system, its effects havent necessarily been calculated for here on the West.
Literally the only thing actually from the Vedas in terms of Vedic astrology is shit about the moon
Which is kinda valid
But they had no system for the planets or even zodiac signs
That's all after the fact borrowed from the west
An adjusted to be wrong lmao
And sidereal astrologers don't even agree where the zodiac begins
Whereas all western astrologers do
@Verchiel the system that i use is based on how the chart would look like in eastern system but with the actual planetary location on the visible sky , vedic doesn’t even include all the planets
The Western astrologers of the past were thoroughly familiar with the procession phenomenon
Im going to copy a post I wrote above
*Signs =/= Constellations
Signs are portions of the sky divided, named after the constellations
Western Astrology was not developed to be a sidereal system, and that is precisely why the signs were devised; people were aware that the fixed stars were not entirely fixed.
And tbqh I feel more inclined to utilize a system of astrology developed and maintained in use by people who became the most proficient astrologers, and thus astronomers, known to the rest of the world.
In Western astrology, astrological signs are the twelve 30° sectors of the ecliptic, starting at the vernal equinox (one of the intersections of the ecliptic with the celestial equator), also known as the First Point of Aries. The order of the astrological signs is Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Each sector is named for a constellation it passes through.*
Where this gets complicated is in the fact that, when a system of astrology has been devised, you are now making predictions and observations within the unique boundaries and properties that comprise the system.
By default, you can say that each system is able to produce valid predictions. The system's reliability to make those predictions will depend on the length of time it's been utilized, giving more opportunity for trial and error, that more reliable data might be compiled as a result.
This is why I don't accept the idea of shoehorning in sidereal models into the Western system.
Western astrology is based on the predictive value the planets interacting within portions of the sky under a given power. They (the signs) were named after those constellations which initially inhabited them.
Use a Sidereal model if you wish, but if you want better predictive power, you ought to *use a method of astrology which has, longstanding, utilized a sidereal model.*
Lmao
