Previously the state would regulate things to suit the society

2019-02-01 01:14:14 UTC

There is nothing in the definition that specifies that under capitalism the state can't regulate the market. In fact, the state does so right now in capitalist countries.

2019-02-01 01:14:43 UTC

Well here we have a problem

2019-02-01 01:14:50 UTC

The an cap wet dream doesn't exist in modern times. Pretty much every capitalist country has regulation

2019-02-01 01:15:02 UTC

I'm not just talking about regulation

2019-02-01 01:15:31 UTC

Well, not regulation as it's usually understood

2019-02-01 01:15:41 UTC

I think pre-capitalist economies are worth looking at

2019-02-01 01:16:53 UTC

I mean if you want to call me a capitalist because I'm not a natsoc, or a socialist, or a marxist, go ahead. But I think there's a fundamental problem with defining capitalism so loosely

2019-02-01 01:17:26 UTC

I went from libertarian to alt right reactionary to realizing that a lot of the ideas I was toying with were genuinely dumb and I needed to ground myself in reality. Socialism is pretty shitty

2019-02-01 01:18:28 UTC

People in these circles just throw around the term capitalism as this bogeyman that has no clear definition.

2019-02-01 01:18:37 UTC

I'm not a socialist

2019-02-01 01:18:46 UTC

There's not just socialism and capitalism

2019-02-01 01:18:52 UTC

I am aware.

2019-02-01 01:19:55 UTC

If you want to call me a capitalist in favor of heavy regulation go ahead, but "Capitalism" implies a lot of things I'm not

2019-02-01 01:20:02 UTC

I'm more of a distributist

2019-02-01 01:21:03 UTC

I favor guilds over complete free trade. I favor decentralization of the economy by the state. But I still believe in private property

2019-02-01 01:23:51 UTC

How does capitalism imply a lot of things you're not?

2019-02-01 01:24:11 UTC

"I favor guilds over complete free trade" capitalism is not "complete" free trade

2019-02-01 01:24:55 UTC

The way I see it you belong to a big tent of capitalism but you're a special kind of capitalist who has a specific vision in mind

2019-02-01 01:25:01 UTC

as am I

2019-02-01 01:25:36 UTC

I suppose if that's how you want to define capitalism. But at that point it pretty much includes every society with private property

2019-02-01 01:26:35 UTC

I'm not defining it my way. I just defer to the definition people accept:
Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit.

2019-02-01 01:26:41 UTC

Yeah at that point fascist corporatism would be considered capitalism due to the existence of private Enterprise

2019-02-01 01:27:04 UTC

If people want to counter signal an caps be my guest

2019-02-01 01:27:42 UTC

Why are you Left and Right?

2019-02-01 01:27:51 UTC

Spookaswa lol

2019-02-01 01:28:28 UTC

I hold left wing economic views and right wing social views

2019-02-01 01:29:12 UTC

what sort of rw social views do you hold (to change the topic)

2019-02-01 01:29:54 UTC

im peeved that there's a cultural nat role but no white or ethno roles

2019-02-01 01:30:10 UTC

Generally speaking, my social views are pretty in line with the social views of right-wing populists and identitarians

2019-02-01 01:31:40 UTC

Well how do you feel about female suffrage, women in the military, women in the workplace, divorce, alimony, and child support

2019-02-01 01:32:33 UTC

There's more variety among rw populists on the big issues than you'd expect

2019-02-01 01:38:12 UTC

Voting is useless and/or unnecessary in most cases, no matter what sex or ethnicity you are.

The female body I'd argue isn't designed for tasks such as military combat.

Women can enter the workplace, but I think that their first priority is to start a family (men too), and to take care of said family and whatever household they happen to be in while the father works.

I am against alimony, it can easily be abused and used as a cheap way to make a lot of money.

Child support is fine, even if you get a divorce, your children are still your responsibility until they reach adulthood.

2019-02-01 01:39:34 UTC

You see I find it humorous that you essentially are a feminist (2nd wave) but you describe yourself as rw on social issues

2019-02-01 01:40:28 UTC

Also, if a woman gets knocked up outside of marriage what right does she have to the man's wallet?

2019-02-01 01:40:35 UTC

True

2019-02-01 01:41:12 UTC

To throw in my two cents, women should be societally encouraged to start families primarily, and possibly work in family businesses.

2019-02-01 01:41:33 UTC

They should not be allowed in the military, and the state should not do anything to secure any sense of equality in the workplace

2019-02-01 01:41:37 UTC

If they want to work, they can

2019-02-01 01:41:38 UTC

Maybe if the state forced the couple to marry it would be less absurd, at least that way she'd get access to his wallet in exchange for being a wife. Child support is just robbery

2019-02-01 01:41:45 UTC

but nobody should assist them
