There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding as to what globalisation is. Globalisation in this context just describes that some elements of a culture will find greater utility worldwide than others.

I think europe as a whole has been suffering from a really poor understanding of what immigration is supposed to accomplish, namely an acceptance of those willing and able to contribute to your national project, instead opting for an open door policy

I dont even think “adapting” to the culture is necessary per se so much as engaging productively with society. Your indian guy who has his lil shrine in the taxi?
