2017-02-13 17:17:09 UTC

Metal mostly.

I just bought myself a recording rig and a MIDI drumming program so I can make full mixes of songs I write

2017-02-13 17:17:26 UTC

~~sing me a song~~

2017-02-13 17:17:32 UTC

2017-02-13 17:18:58 UTC

I have a very specific taste as to what my instruments sound like: Punchy drums, heavy bass and a cutting yet slicing guitar mix, but I fiddle around with so many sbgenres it's not funny

2017-02-13 17:19:17 UTC

you'd like death grips lol

opinion?

2017-02-13 17:27:51 UTC

I find it not to my tastes, to be blunt

2017-02-13 17:29:23 UTC

I'm not a fan of contrasting and clashing sounds in music.

I prefer ellegant, powerful music in rather beautiful scales.

2017-02-13 17:30:03 UTC

I listen to a lot of progressive metal, and classical from the impressionist era

2017-02-13 17:30:04 UTC

also jazz

2017-02-13 17:35:16 UTC

Ensiferum, mate.

2017-02-13 17:35:36 UTC

Jari left Ensiferum becaue of studio problems.

2017-02-13 17:35:53 UTC

I like them both as different bands, but Jari is a better musician overall.

2017-02-13 17:36:05 UTC

Wintersun reminds me a bit of something in between Galneryus and Rhapsody

2017-02-13 17:37:52 UTC

Oh, it reminds me a bit of Freedom Call too

2017-02-13 17:38:56 UTC

I personally adore their use of asian instruments.

I particularly like the Erhu as an instrument. It has a certain character to it's tone and legato that I enjoy

2017-02-13 17:39:48 UTC

sounds like folk metal

2017-02-13 17:41:10 UTC

Jari used to be in Ensiferum (A folk metal band) then went off to do his own thing later
