That’s why we have so many martyrdom stories where the martyr grows old and becomes a checkout chick at the local deli

2019-02-16 12:32:03 UTC

Clearly

2019-02-16 12:33:35 UTC

It’s very difficult to tell people to fight unto death when their idol is in Chenswich pentitentiary because she got captured and was co-operative and got a ps4

2019-02-16 12:33:44 UTC

People like ps4’s

2019-02-16 12:33:54 UTC

Your isis commander might be a dick tho

2019-02-16 12:34:20 UTC

And that sounds petty but its kinda the trajectory most of these stories go

2019-02-16 12:34:20 UTC

she only needs to be a symbol for the time being... what happens after 5 years is irrelevant in this context really. Also if you say that she wouldn't be an effective martyr alive... there is no reason to belive that she would an effective martyr after her death. There is no reason to belive that she wouldn't serve an example for people who are planning to run away to fight for isis

2019-02-16 12:35:12 UTC

So in other words this convo is one big "whataboutism" on your part (and on mine as well) but I don't really try to frame a narrative here on whataboutitm arguments. I am only pointing out that you are doing it.

2019-02-16 12:36:51 UTC

That’s shit ass marketing aki and relies on people having no memory. People do and the worst thing you can do to a bad product is market the shit out of it.

Re; whataboutism as you say we’re both doing it so its a moot point and i dont think it requires an in depth discussion that the dead are much easier to idealise.

2019-02-16 12:36:51 UTC

also Brevik is not an example you wanna rely on in this case. lol

2019-02-16 12:37:27 UTC

Breviks a pretty good example. Brevik is also accused of being a sell out and a chump

2019-02-16 12:37:57 UTC

I don't think it requires an deep knowledge to say that dead or not she is not a good cancidate for an isis martyr.

2019-02-16 12:38:47 UTC

Probably not but by not killing her the UK retains the moral highground in the established culture, whether you agree with that perspective or not

2019-02-16 12:39:08 UTC

The point being is that is the main viewpoint and the one you have to play to

2019-02-16 12:40:03 UTC

Isis kills people
The uk is fair and just though and puts them in prison when able

2019-02-16 12:40:14 UTC

It’s a good narrative

2019-02-16 12:40:51 UTC

Whether its true or not is another discussion

2019-02-16 12:41:06 UTC

People believe its true

2019-02-16 12:44:32 UTC

The only thing ISIS members deserve is a bullet to the head

2019-02-16 12:44:35 UTC

Pussy

2019-02-16 12:44:59 UTC

I agree, im not saying they deserve anything more, im talking about effect

2019-02-16 12:45:30 UTC

Today’s bullets are expensive

2019-02-16 12:45:45 UTC

I’m trying to save money

2019-02-16 12:46:03 UTC

2019-02-16 12:51:15 UTC

1. The thing is... this moral hierarhy that you are advocating adjusting to is one of the initial causes for the problems the west is facing. Following ineffective ruleset with even more vigor is not the solution because it is the ruleset that caused those problems. 2. I would argue that most people see Brevik as a cynic who pissed on the justice system (and the justice system liked it). So... in the genral opinion he is not liked (and wouldn't be even if he got executed) but not pathetic. 3. Not executing her will make the UK liberals feel good, UK reactionaries to feel frustrated and UK isis fighters feel like they have a stable future if their foot slips.
